I feel like the tumor in my brain that tells me to keep buying these toys is on overdrive these days. How do I stop it? I just ordered two Real x Head figures, I already have another on the way, I have like two Skuttle X, one Skuttle, five baby Skuttles, and two Secret Base on the way. And this is on top of a bunch of toys I've bought really really recently. It seems like I might have to stop visiting S7, TT, Rotofugi and the other online store sites completely, because it's tough not to buy... HELP ME JEBUS!!! |

Welcome to the sickness. I set monetary guidelines and stick to them. It gets hard but not being able to make rent gets harder. |

Where is the label that says, "Warning: May cause sleep irregularities, an increase in cash outflow and minor postal discomfort"? |

If they do, please sign me up. You might also add the side effect of possible conversations with loved ones, about "all the toys" and intervention like scenarios. |

my first few celga boxes nearly lead me to collector burnout. i'm ok now (sarcasm) there's really not much on YJA nowadays that you can't find on this board or in the U.S. |

I've an eye on a beemer with sidecar that would only help fix my double vision and be great, except for the bugs in the teeth. And if I get back to bikes the best I can do is strap'em on onto the fender and take'em for a ride. No more little vinyl companions sitting on shelves glaring down while collecting dust, hmmmmm... |

I find help in a thing called focus. I strictly am on the base for now. Although the little GID dorogami catches my eye and I will probably get it as a gift for someone soon, and the zags, and some real head stuff and some of the random stuff like dokurocks and blobpus docross which I really like, I have not strayed yet, staying focused lets me get a solid collection of one type going that I am happy with and helps me with being selective of what I buy. I also buy based in this method: First: To even consider is it SB Second: How awesome do I think this figure is (instant buy) Third: How will its color affect the flow of my collection (buy if priced right) Fourth: Wow thats INSANELY cheap (again instant buy) the first two are my priorities but I jump on stuff if its cheap, like my recent red bagman ranger for 20 shipped or the bman brain I got for 25. Just figure out what direction you want to go with and make a list of your priorities, its worked nicely for me so far and my spending is moderate, even being fairly new to this and I think my collection is pretty awesome so far |

Collin your tips are good. I am a bit more focused I think for the time being, now that I've gone through the mad "ramping-up" phase. I know I don't need any more skuttles for a while, heheh. I want some more Secret Base sculpts so I at least have one of everything. I'm not as into having to get every color variation of a specific sculpt, so that helps. I need a lot more RxH, that I know. Like a lot more, those things are the bomb. Yeah, if I keep it mostly to RxH and SB and try to get mostly new sculpts and not so much color variations, I should be OK... yeeeaaah... |

i agree with colin shots, focus has been really good for me in getting this habit somewhat under control. i've only bought a few pieces in the past couple months and all of it blobpus. it feels good to have a sort of "goal" for my collection. |
