Post subject:  question about the M1 Daimon header pictures

So I was sorting/filing my headers today and noticed that my M1 Daimon header appears to have some sort of film clip as a picture on the back (as well as a film clip of him on the front).

It made me pretty curious as I noticed one of the villians (I presume) is none other than Turtletooth's avatar. I'm really into the horned looking guy jumping down from the left side as well as what looks like a red haired witch perched beside him. Does anyone know what film this is from and if they've been made into vinyl?

thanks
Chris

Yes, come to the dark side.

Those images are from the Yokai Monsters movies from the great movie company Daiei (Gamera, Zatoichi, Daimajin).

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0164402/

I recommend all 3 of these films. If you drink and or do drugs, you might want to do alot of that while watching these.

My avatar is Abura Sumashi. He's actually the hero of the first Yokai Monsters movie. He also makes an appearance in the Gegege No Kitaro series. He is also a traditional Japanese Yokai and is said to be the spirit of a monk who stole lamp oil to keep warm during the winter.

Abura rules.

Thanks Alex...I figured you'd respond if anyone! I'm totally hitting ebay now to look for that DVD. Winter is long and harsh in Buffalo and I just finished watching Planet Earth in 2 days so I need something else....

turtletooth, is that the Nitto vinyl?

I'm not that familiar with the Nitto Yokai...but I know Nekrodave, a collector out here in MA, has all the midsize ones.

Maybe if we all believe hard enough, he'll post pics!

Yes, that's the '68 Nitto and the candy toy from TOMY.

I think Nekrodave has posted his set on here before. Super nice. I hope to have the whole set one day but that's easier said than done. :)

Only the onion keeps getting bigger the more you peel

This is Daimon, also from the Tomy set. He is holding a golden sceptre to symbolize his power, it has what appears to be a dragon head atop a two-bladed axe.
