What's the story behind it?

Thanks for all those pics Data - Looks like Fighter had to fight off an unwelcome advance from the pneumatic pink-haired girl.

A few things, from yours and K-T's pics -

Nine new 'Mayo' Ilanema (sp?) color unpaints! What with these, the recent 173 Cronic LB variants, the mini-Chaos 8-packs, etc., it seems that toymakers are doing battle with completism on all fronts.

Image

I like these new ones from Sunguts Honpo - Anyone know if they are up FS anywhere yet, or a price?

Image

Was Carlos Enriquez at WF, or if not, who's selling his work there?

Image

Whose are these new sculpts? Are these resin (or even ceramic maybe) instead of vinyl? I have an old green-blue vinyl that I love (below) of the middle dog-eared guy here - What's he called?

Image

Image

I won't add all the pics, but it looks like there are at least a half-dozen previously unseen Eyezon paints - Were these all one-offs, or were they previewing the next six releases all at once?

how can i get some of this stuff at WF??

Yeah I wonder if those daikaiju sets were for sale or just on display?

Those sunguts minis are just the new version of those gatcha minis...they should be pretty cheap when they show up for sale. Some other sculpts in this glittery clear color were released previously.

It looks like Mark Nagata may have brought the Enriquez stuff over?

I think those "fleshy" figures are actually custom paints done by some randomn dude. I think he often has a booth at these shows. Every once in a while his stuff shows up on YJA too.

Thanks! That makes sense - I thought the dog-ear was a new sculpt, but with a closer look now, I think it is the same one. I recognize the 'transforming Matango' sculpt in back, but not the bloody Zag above or the leftmost one in the front row below.

Did anyone else pick up the new Glow Gabari? Know if they sold out, or who might have some FS? I got confirmation of mine, but I've gotten inquiries from a couple of dotcomrades about it.

Is "cosplay" for trannies? I am not sure I know that scene. But by the looks of it...

It sure does. It's having a "backfire" effect on me. Quality, not quantity.

Normally I would agree with you but for some reason I can't get enough of these guys. I can't wait until the next ones.

love the new pinky street stuff!

Those paint-ups are custom. That dude was at WF last year and you can find some threads on him.

I gotta say, those new clear sunguts had me freakin' out - way hot :D If I had to guess, maybe Grumble Toy might get them?

Go for it! Don't listen to my silly grumbling. :-) I was just having an "I can't keep up!" moment. Nobody can keep up with everything. More toys is a good thing.

I love these more aggressive looking Zags and Deathras. Nothing against Gargamel's cute versions, love those too, but sometimes you want your monsters to be as fierce and destructive as they were originally imagined to have been.

Isn't that the latest addition to the pool of zag sculpts? I'm just drooling over all these pics - does anyone know where you'd go (online) to pick up some of those mecha toys? Also, Those random soldier figures are insane!!! what's the story?

It is interesting that, in the almost exclusively character-driven world of vinyl, virtually the only visual ironies we see fall into one of two categories of sculpts:

1 - Fierce critters turned cute. (Garg Zag, etc., etc., etc.)
2 - Cute critters turned fierce. (Usagi-gon, etc., etc., etc.)
