Will you be claiming the silver metallic, gold metallic and clay tarnished ones as well if they pop up?

Believe it or not some are closer to completion than you on this sculpt.

Well then its got to be dueling bids then on that stuff.

If you haven't picked up a Toxic Yellow, Candycorn, or Kaji HP one off yet then I suspect I'm closer by those.

"Claiming" things here doesn't work anymore, trust me.

It helps a lot for the most part but there's a few things that will get hairy unfortunately.

I don't try to claim stuff here I just try not to step on SBers feet which seems doable 99% of the time so far (if I know the handle and you haven't done it to me a lot first).

i have always been respectful on debay when i knew som eone here and saw they had already made a bid. i do not bid those items. i don't have a personal handle on yahoo but do all my bidding thru moj and plan to make a bid tomorrow at some point.

i do have my candycorn and while i do not have a koji one-off, i do have one-offs comi9ng from PK and toybotstudios that i am in great anticipation of.

the gold/silver and SF45 are ones i think most of are in need of and i suspect yes, that those will be hairy, as you say, but i am hoping that my "claim" will have some respect here as far as this one goes. i go thru periods of extreme poverty to easy cash flow and i am in the latter at the momment so i am willing to bid this quite high if need be. i would just hate to have to get ensnared in a bidding war with someone here when i have already stated my intentions and have been respectful of others bids on similiar objects.

While "claiming" may or may not work here, I've been able to work out similar situations with plenty of other SB members on a pretty consistent basis. I tend to back off more often than not which puts me in a decent position to ask for favors when something I really need shows up. It's definitely a better tactic than "going for it" regardless of whoever else has an eye on the same auction.

Having said that, I know at least 4 folks here that have been scouring the web for the clear green dokugan, so playdoh you might be in for some bidding warfare. FYI, I won't be one of the warriors 8)

You also stated you intend to "claim" all the others you're missing.

You aren't going to avoid bidding wars by trying this on everything.

Indicating you will try it on the rest means its likely not going to happen on this one.

Kaji (BLObPUS) did my one off not Koji btw, I'm not referring to one offs by anyone other than the sculpt's creator.

Its not really a contest over who is closer.

Since you say you think claiming will work on them all (as quoted earlier) then it hardly makes sense to back off here since this will happen on the metallics and SF 45 by your own comments.

Its as if you are saying back off on this because you really really want it but in the future expect to be bid against by you on the others as well.

Perhaps I'm missing the trade off here.

P and I have worked out some arrangements in the past - Generally, we agreed if I located one that I had but he was missing, I'd notify him first. Likewise if he found one that he had but I was missing. For ones we were both missing, we'd just have to duke it out.

And while we're on the topic of Dokugan completism and whose is bigger, can anyone supply a pic of the Pumpkin Guts Dokugan? I don't think I've ever even seen a pic of it - does it exist?

I also want to offer Flankenglott public kudos for a heads-up which got me one step closer to the mythical Shangri-La of Dokugan completism today - Just nabbed the Peach Glitter below. For that gracious assist (among others recently), a giftie package of Cronic that I know he'll like and other kaiju I hope he will, is winging its way this week to Flankenglott in Austria.

Finally - This is aka the 'non-Chinese New Year's' Dokugan, correct? Or are those two different paints?

If you're referring to the 2nd Anniversary CNY Dok, yes, this is not it, but it's very similar. Main difference is that CNY is clear pink vinyl. Completely different header card.

It may have been released at the same Superfest as the clear orange Dokugan. Either data or K-T has a photo of it in the archives.

Thanks xono - I know the Chinese New Year's on pink vinyl (have that one, with its obvious Chinese header). But, I have seen references to both 'Peach Glitter' as well as 'NON-Chinese (or 'regular') New Year's' Dokugans, and I think both those names are referring to the same figure - the one above. Is that correct, or are 'Peach Glitter' and 'NON-Chinese NY' two different figures? (And if they are two, which one is in the pic above?)

Aha, thanks ... I didn't know about the "non Chinese, New Year" being a conventional reference but it makes sense. I'll think of it as "Gregorian New Year" so I don't fall into the confusion trap. :-)

This is also the distinction between the Japanese New Year (which is the same as here- 1/1) and the Chinese New Year (celebrated in mid-February?).

All of those terms refer to the clear orange New Year's Dokugan.

Shows how closely I've followed the release schedule since last year. Shoulda kept my virtual mouth shut, but I appreciate the clarifications.

I didn't say I would bid nor did I say I wouldn't

Had the response to my question on the other figures been "lets alternate" or something other than entitlement to everything we're both missing I likely would have agreed to pass.

I may bid thats all. I don't think the OP has the right to claim all these things simply because he feels he should have them all uncontested.

I don't see this one as more special than the others except its the one on the block atm.

I work things out with lots of folks here but none of them try to convince me they're entitled to everything, if they did we wouldn't be able to discuss any of it.

i did not mean to insinuate that i would be claiming all future dokugans that i am missing, ii only asked for this one. i think you kind of stretched what i said to say that i would be doing that even tho ii have no intention. i've seen others lay claim to things on here and ppeople seemed to respect it when it was done. i thought the same courtesy might be extended towards me but i can see that i am not of the old guard and therefore i just get my throat jumped down. s'ok. peace
