Garuban. There were both Bullmark and Ark versions of the character, if I remember. The particular one in that photo is a custom, I think, as the original only had two eyes. Oh, and here you go: ガルバン |

Garuban is also a Captain Ultra villain and a junkheap monster. Crowe on MSTK3 reminds me of him. |

the version in your original photo is actually not garuban, but sort of a riff on the character. its definitely a nod to the original, but a new character. i forget off the top of my head who made that one. garuban is a captain ultra kaiju, and there are a few vinyls out there. bullmark made a standard size and giant, and there is also a mini/pendant version (not sure who made that one). there is the diecast mentioned above, as well as a marmit. b-club also re-issued the giant bullmark, and it is one of the best toys that exists. |

The guy in the top photo is MechaGonira from Amapro. A weird cross between Goro and Garuban. |

I see them with the "horns" broken off, pretty often, but the auction almost makes it look like something else was put there as a replacement. |

There was a diecast company that made a Garuban diecast in the 70s. I have one and I believe it was Marushin something similar to Marusan. The same company made a variation of the diecast Garuban with a gorilla face if I am not mistaken. That diecast I have yet to find. The Gorilla Garuban in your first photo I believe is an Amapro vinyl. They also made a red and blue version. Marmit made a small verision of the original as well. The Giant Bullmark reissue is an awesome figure, If I can dig it up I'll take pics. Great garbage/ junk Kaiju! |

That's the one I was thinking of... it was in Take-shit's article from an old S7 issue. Couldn't remember the company, though. It is Marushin. The Amapro vinyl is named Mecha-gonilla (the original Marushin is "Mecha-gorilla")- not sure if that's a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fact that it's a patchi-kaiju version of a toy that was a rip on another toy. |

Sorry for the fuzzy pic, but here is a Bullmark Garuban and the B-Club reissue. That one in the auction has been altered, for sure. |
