received the ubiq obakes yesterday, and the red one's led lights weren't working. When shaken you could hear more than one thing inside, so i thought maybe one of the batteries or lights had jarred itself loose.

so after asking a few question, i got my wive's hair dryer and went to work

after working at it for a minute, and getting my hand super hot, i started to take the sheet off the skull figure, i was half way when it seemed to cool, so i aimed the dryer at it again and slipped it out, simple pimple. and to make it even easier for me, the head came off on the way out!

saw the led light, and the batteries had gotten loose. so i taped them up, and put them back inside of the skull fig.

sizing up the skull fig and the sheet, it didnt look promising.

but thinking since it was so easy to slip the sheet out, it couldn't be too hard to slip it back in. NEGATIVE!
5 minutes of pure agony and struggle, and a blister later, the sheet was back on the skull fig.

How the hell did you get a welt ??

I think most peoples issue is that they think the blow dryer will destroy the toy. They think the more hotter you get it the more an issue might happen. Well its just the opposite. The softer you get the vinyl the better it is to work on. For obake you really have to get both really soft, but the body of the figure more so. Enough that you can get the arm to almost go straight up above the head. Like a diver. Once booth are hot you can bend the arms up and have him slip right back in the sheet.

Will vinyl if for some reason it gets miss shaped don't worry. Just get it to where you want it and hold it until it cools and it will be formed to how you want it.

Dont worry :)

I kind of like the color of the body without the sheet, maybe with a brain on it?

Damn! Is that a blister from the hairdryer or hot vinyl?

Totally! Love the color of the figure under the sheet (still don't like the new sheets). Would love to see a 'Brain like that...but with gloves instead of hands!

yea, that is a good ol' blister. havent gotten one of those since my baseball days. I was holding on to the sheet pretty hard, and it was extremely warm. my finger slipped and rubbed against the sheet and i got the blister. people tell me i have girl hands though

the colors on the figure are pretty awesome. really love the green. doesnt look as good in the pics as it does in person.

quick question...

Does the light in these Obakes just sit inside the figure?

Yeah it does, the ones prior to these on the prototypes used to also have a job over at a law firm but that didn't work out so well so now they just sit around inside the obakes, lazy bastards.
