Showa Gamera villains. They kick much ass...the MST3k episodes of the Sandy Frank English dubs of these movies are a hoot! Oh, and it's actually "Guiron". |

Yeah, I've always found that romanization suspect....honestly, I forget how it sounds in the English dub. And I simply don't have the original film (with Japanese dialog)! But as for toys, the Marusans are fantastic. My fucking kingdom for their glowie Jiger!! |

These Marusan sculpts are great and the glow makes them even better. Some Marusan glows are limited but what are the production runs on these? The glow Yog kaiju are nice and I think the Ganime crab was even more limited than the Gezora and Kameba, is that the case? Please enlighten me. I've been looking for all three of these as well as the Marusan glow Gubira (the narwhal kaiju from Ultraman). |

Plastichunter, I think that clear Giron is the Princess Street exclusive and not too long ago they could be had on YJA for around 3000 yen. |

Aww...plastichunter, that clear Guiron was ALL over Y!J for a while for cheap dough [Edit: I just went back and watched part of the MST3k of Gamera vs Guiron...in the English dub anyway, it's definiltely pronounced gee-ron]. I picked one of them up a while back when supplies seemed to start running thin. It's easily one of the most beautiful clear vinyl pieces I've ever seen. Perfectly suitable for filling with glow gravel!

You have the glow Jiger, that I'm pretty much willing to kill or sleep with whomever you want me to for...but *I* have the Yog set! Yeah, the Gezora seems tough to come by, you could practically trip over the Kameba...but you pretty much had to sell your firstborn to get the Ganime. I'm still trying to figure out how I scored mine! Honestly, I don't know the production runs on these pieces. Weird that they're clearly not equal.

Damn, Sanjeev! Nice pics of some beautiful glows! I don't get it either. For such a small set (3 Yog figures) you'd figure the the production runs would be the same. I think you outbid me on the Ganime when Shado-x was selling it on eBay That one stings, I didn't know it is so limited. I like it 'cause it's a beautiful vinyl. Thanks for sharing Sanjeev, and Plastichunter, there are still a few clear Girons to be had on YJA. Cheers all! |

Fuckin'-ay, man...I remember that--I was out in San Diego for Comicon when I saw that fucker pop up. Soooo much vinyl that week... Well, not that you probably need any help from me, but I always keep my eye out for glowies--if I come across another, I'll PM ya! |
