To whom it may concern:

The highest bidder with 16 feedback is a shill bid.
AT has already set the price HIGH on this.
No doubt about that.
He does browse this board.
He knows who's been on a spending spree laying down big $.
Don't get played.

Regards,
J

auction_toy is chaos

I can't believe there are people willing to pay as much as this auction is going for when the figure is in the state that this figure is in. When V-color is flakey, it comes off very easily.

I was happy to see this figure, but when I saw that neck area.... I would NEVER buy. 1.) It could be a fake, 2.) If not like said it will spread, something is wrong and the paint is rejecting the vinyl.

Please satisfy my curiosity---this happened before? Have you encountered this on RXH?

I was wondering if this was a fake- this is somthing that does worry me ( well it doesnt really as I dont have this sort of money to spend anyways :D ) but the way I see it is these sellers are merciless, if one hasnt been made and sold already surely its only a matter of time.

when I saw the neck area, a flag went up in my mind. could be a fake or just hopelessly crappy.

Shill bids are lame. they're playin' us, dawg! :|

ironic that its the only "auction" auction_toy has up at the moment. that alone is a huge red flag.

a fake AGAIN ?!!!? After he managed custom paint. He started selling these fake stuff again and again. And even ....

I totally wouldn't have even noticed the flaking paint around the neck, luckily for me I dont have the kind of cash necessary to pick up anything like this.

Is this a pattern developing? Anytime he puts up a piece for auction vs. BIN should we just assume that it's a fake immediately?

How do you know they are fake?

I was under the impression that Mori was not sure in the case of the GID head. In this case it looks like someone just twisted the head around a bit roughly. couldn't that cause that kind of mark? If it was a fake I would have thought they would have been more careful.

This is what stealthtank quote from Mori "and one of what in his opinion is a fake figure currently up for auction somewhere. "
in a recent thread.

Ya right, it may not be a fake. I also love this popsoda head and want to bid on it. I hope it's probably just a worn toy with someone who keep twisting its head many times. It will end up with the SAME winner if the final price didn't reach a certain amount  haha

Good luck to the final winner

Shill bid maybe but i think its real mccoy though.
one did surface fairly recently.
i have seen the painted yellow jinja-R test shot painted over a flesh figure, the effect looks similar.

Fake or FUBAR'd . . . either way sucks!

The missing header isn't great either.

I have a few pop soda metallic versions. I can say that it does get wear and tear, especially on smoother sculpts like Head and Chaoq. I bought the green Chaoq recently from a board member and it is not in mint condition. I was informed before my purchase that is not the issue. I am just raising the issue that it seems to happen on the Pop Soda colorways.

That said, I think it shouldn't be worth as much if it was not in mint condition.

Thanks for the heads up Joe. That one looked fishy anyhow.

Post subject:  Re: PSA: Don't Get Played

The prior suspicious lot was also missing the header. I don't remember auction_toy having RxH missing headers at too-high starting bids until recently. Even if this one is authentic, the starting price is insane, and IMHO would be even if there was no evident damage to the figure.

It is indeed the real deal. These colors painted near the neck and shoulder joints, vary amongst figures in this release.

That's pretty much the case with most all paints!
