Okay, this mini is made damn today and it's just a sample still. Mr.Mori made this one because many people seem not be able to get previous metalic-mini head and so he is anxious about it. |

One of the most well-known kaiju/toy designers (I'll hold back his name to avoid a shitfest) told me last year that he thinks most modern kaiju will plummet in value. (He wasn't speaking about RxH - just neo kaiju in general). That certainly has happened with most Secret Base, though one could say they're more of an "independent toy" than "kaiju" company. But yeah the way I've seen trends come and go here over the last couple of years, the roller coaster ride is pretty intense. I think by and large what we're seeing is there is so much stuff out there that collectors are focusing on just a few key lines. This stuff is so expensive, most collectors don't really have a choice. Personally, my thinking is kind of like how vintage Star Wars collectors react when each cycle of gloom and doomists comes around - let the prices fall, since I'll be there to scoop the good stuff up. |

Yup. Let the prices and interest in these toys drop. Better for those of us who will stick around. I like to think that most of us aren't in this for the future monetary value of the toys anyway. |

Seriously...everything has a rise and fall and possible rise again. It's not rocket science. All of these new toys are really popular right now. In 10 years maybe not so but when the next generation rolls around again they will be popular. |
