The Google translation reads that the Lovecraft characters started off as a joke but they're going to try to make them. Thats pretty nuts if its true, any Japanese readers can confirm this?

As a kid I use to always pick up the covers of H.P. Lovecraft and be facinated by the art on the cover. However I never read these since I get too scared... :oops:
