anyone enter this year? was unclear w/ how to enter & didn't have the time anyways. some nice pics on the plastica blog (does he post here?) - the blobpus diablo one is amazing :shock:

I love the kaijin and the blobpus diablo mashup...
but the one skuttle with headphones on him looks like total crap, its like some dj decided to throw his headphones on the floor and they happened to land on a skuttle, and somebody brought it in to the contest.

other than that 11, 12 and 15 are amazing, i would buy any of those.

I liked #21 the best. Definitely gets my "outside the box" vote, good paint, too. Far be it from me to say somebody's art sucks, but I agree: last year's entries were stronger.

Thank you, that one is mine! I decided to try to avoid my usual control-everything tendencies and just freehanded the whole thing with doodles. Rather pleased with the result.

#20 is mine also...too bad it didn't get turned on for the picture. Here are some better pictures:

It's called electroluminescent wire. It's a stiff wire coated with some kind of phosphorescent powder, with another fine wire wrapped around it in a spiral. When current flows across the coating, it glows very brightly. The whole thing is then enclosed in a transparent plastic outer wrap, which gives it different colors.
