Some of the answers...

1. Nope, only one color that I've seen.

2. This was a collab between Nakayoshi and Sunguts. If you check Sunguts' website, there is a smaller flying pose version of this character. This one should have included an unpainted version of the Sunguts toy.

3. Not sure what the origin of the character itself is. I've always thought it to be a standard size version of the original Sunguts character.

The name エルバーン has been around in Jpn for quite a while, I'm not sure where it came from either

The version pictured is a new edition.
It doesn't come with the Sunguts mini, and I would guess is slightly different than the original version that was released some years back. It is the same basic color scheme, but I think it is a little teeny bit different.

edit.
I just checked, to me it looks like the original was on dark blue vinyl. The new one looks to be on light blue with dark blue spray. I don't think his intention was for it to be a different edition as much as an edition that would be available for the oversees market.

Thanks for the clarification 3x3. I guess this is the reason that Nakayoshi has been exhibiting the Elbarn at recent shows- I thought those were old stock.

Anyhow, I think Nakayoshi's stuff is tops, and I'm glad to see that he/she is back in the game. I wonder when we will see the orange character that was displayed at a couple of recent shows..?

I thought Ralph/onibaba had one of these up for sale and it looked really cool.

thanks for the info

so as far as it's origin goes the best guess is that it's the Sunguts mascot?
