I just got word from Mark that Tripasu is slated to ship from Japan very soon with a scheduled debut release at SDCC. Also, Mark told me that for Tripasu, some versions of the figure will be handpainted/sprayed by Mark, and others will be painted by Naoki. Not sure yet who will do the painting for the SDCC release(s). Very psyched to see what they come up with!! |

Just the one of the white test shot that's been floating around on the Net for a while.  What I'm most excited about this figure is we'll be able to see how Mark and Naoki approach the figure with their own (very unique, yet very different!) painting styles. |

Remember a couple of weeks ago when Target Earth's blog said they were making a Cthulhu figure? And a Baphomet figure, too? The Baphomet really made me think about the Blob Diablo, but the Cthulhu was a little bit of a mystery. But now I think all the pieces are fitting together... |

Maxtoy seems to be releasing another called Kaiju tripus a similiar face to the tripasu but with 3 large tentacles for feet. It looks larger too with a multi coloured paint job. I think this one is just Marks baby as opposed to the maxtoy x cronic collab. Its great to see fresh stuff from Maxtoy co. |

I've been looking forward to Tripasu since he was announced. Out of all of Cronic's designs and sculpts, I think his fight figures are his strongest, and this one is my absolute favorite. You can see both Mark's and Naoki's styles come to life in this sculpt. I would love to see a clear version. Any pictures floating around of this Tripus? I'm pretty sure (99.9%) that's the actual header card image, but in the lower left hand corner is a Cronic logo. |
