I just recently scored a freakin' sweet Gigan from SofVi Life. He's pretty darn big, and very impressive. I had never even seen this one before, can anyone give me any links to find out more about this company and its products? i'd be very grateful! UG

With several English phonetic translations (including "Sofvi Life" on their header cards), the Japanese name ソフビライフ translates as Sofubi Life (Soft Vinyl Life). I believe they are a division or otherwise related to Marmit. Check out ClubTokyo, searching on SOLVI and SOFVI and you'll find pages on your sweet Gigan as well as the cool prototype Hedorah as seen in the German lobby card. |

Check out the SofVi Life First Hedorah. I got one of those last week and he's the coolest log of poo to ever grace my vinyl collection! |

I did check that out as well, looks far too happy to me lol! I prefer the final design they came up with, looks a little more ominous! I see there are 2 different colorways for the Gigan, dammit, now I have to get those too. Are they easy to find over there? |

Here's the marvelous 70's German lobby card that I mentioned above that shows the early Hedorah design that the Sofvi Smoggie is based on ... very cool!! I think this is a great historical connection with a modern toy.
