US$1170 (117,000yen) sounds more reasonable (still waaaay out of my reach). Can't even contemplate what shipping costs are gonna be like. I'd love to own this 4 ft GID Kanegon and call him my friend. |

If you buy the GID version you also get to choose the paint colour (one colour only). I would LOVE to own one of these guys too but shipping will be insanely expensive. |

I got the email this morning too - and my first reaction was: how can I raise the money the get this Kanegon! Man, I want this thing so bad. In that youtube video, Coop talks about how hard it was to get one of these back in the day. The price is actually not bad considering how freakin' huge this thing is. How many barrels of oil do you think it takes to make one of these? I sent an email a few hours ago to find out what shipping would be to the US. Hey, I can dream, can't I? |
