I never really liked the Bigaroid , but there is something about that one that's great. It's kinda Halloweeny.

That's a really nice set. They go together surprisingly well in that color scheme.

I love all the shintos so far, but I hope Mori can do some more full-color (no split) version. The secret green version is the only full color no split and it's awesome. I hope to see this again sometime.

The black rub brings out the web detail on the upper torso better than any previous Bigaroid colorway. That, the colors, and the skull-shoulder definitely evoke Halloween imagery, if unintentionally. IMHO these are Mori's best rub paints. They really "work."

I like the splits. The sculpt itself is split between the human and beast aspects, so the paints emphasizing that are appropriate as I see it. Shinto's a duality dude. I know what you mean though. It's interesting that it took this long for the Shinto to start getting more complex colorways. Even the secret green is pretty simple.

I think the subtlety of the paint app brings out the detail of the bigaroid. It definitely brings out the skull on the shoulder, I don't think I've ever noticed it before.

yeah, i also like the splits, but my favorite right now is the GID one--this is because instead of going totally black on one side, Shinto's "softer gentler" side is displayable too. All black, it's kind of a bummer. you can really only enjoy one side of the figure--almost like the other side isn't even there. If the splits are both equally colored in, it would be a lot more fun, I think.

The sculpt does lend itself to the split colorway ideas pretty well, but I like how the green color version has no split, so the beast side isn't really pushed. That's a lot of fun to leave it up to the owner to decide what the beast part really means. As weird as it sounds, I think I fell in love with the simple paints and the unpainteds

The stuff I saw in the Shinto Gangu pics of the Shintosan all rocked.

This is crazy but I had no idea it was GID until this evening. Just picked it up at the store this afternoon. I turned out the lights in my Shintosan display room and ... voila! It glows! I guess I should feel dumb that I didn't know it was GID but it was a cool surprise. My current fave too.

Damn, I would have liked to have gotten my paws on those. Oh well, just another couple of pieces my wife doesn't have to get ticked off about.
