I've never seen these for sale. Too bad as I would love to have a set as well. They're actually wind-up walkers. Look at the bottom of the page: http://tttoy.michikusa.jp/ttitem.html |

interesting. Hasegawa will be releasing some kits in the future, but I dig the animal aspect of the M.a.K line |

I've inquired about getting these guys in the past, but if I remember correctly they are of one of those 1 day festival licenses. I think they only sell them at the fests.. More pics from there website: http://tttoy.michikusa.jp/raptor.html http://tttoy.michikusa.jp/makfig.html http://tttoy.michikusa.jp/makfig01.html http://tttoy.michikusa.jp/melusine.html http://tttoy.michikusa.jp/makfig0%82Q.html Actually now that I look back, I remember how badly I want these... thanks a lot! *edit* akum6n wrote: I've never seen these for sale. I have them: ![]() As a fan of offbeat Ma.K items I had to have them when I saw them at TTToy's table. He was amazed that I knew what Ma.K was. The wind-up action is a little better on the Raptor than it is on the Melusine, but they're goofy and I dig 'em. |

Since Kow Yokoyama has begun this new round of marketing of his M.ak models, there have been some really exciting things coming out. I've got a realistic large suit model made by maxfactory, few of the smaller ones. But he's finally getting acceptance on a wider level, i think he's one of the greatest designers out there. These windups are really cool, and cats are always good. |

Back in the 80s when I bought every copy of Hobby Japan I could find, I loved the SF3D features and dreamed that someone would make toys of them one day. It amazes me what Yokoyama has done with just Microman figures, plastic spoons, and spare parts, but sometimes the designs really don't work for me (the Falke with those twin Mustang bodies comes to mind). I think Yokoyama got a lot of "street cred" with non-modelmakers when he licensed out the designs for unorthodox stuff like the Working SAFS, the Kubricks and these wind-ups. Getting in on those Nike shows probably helped, too. |

I get the impression a lot of newer artists idolize Yokoyama, and are sort of paying tribute to him. I remember seeing his kits in the US back in the 80s, there was nothing else like his work on the market. I recall reading that he spent years trying to free up the copyrights to his models to he could self-produce. If I have time Ill find the nfo on the interweb. |
