They're extremely well sculpted, and have great paint apps, but to be honest, its just not my cup of tea. Kind of like McFarlane does Kaiju... really detailed and well done, but doesn't really make me want to run out and buy it. Although they have put out a couple of Hedoras I wouldn't mind getting my hands on... |

I agree. The detail is amazing but they're simply an altogether different style - Hyper realistic. I do love this Zunou by CCP though and wish they'd release more.

For me it is something that I do love - falls in with the more "realistic" stuff that X-Plus and Artstorm produces. I can spread my love between the Marusan / M1 / Bullmark vinyl through CCP / X-Plus realism. |

I love these realistic versions. I would get them if I didn't already have tons of painted Billikens in storage. I do remember a nice Eleking kit in the late 80's by , I think "Wave" and the tail was long and soft foam with wire armature so it could be wrapped around a similar scale Ultraseven. It was really nice. I would like to see this done again. |

I just can't start another line, I'm just too broke. But sometimes I do cross over, like for Alien Zarab (CCP) and Keronia (X-plus) An earlier post on Alien Pole is quite tempting. |

datadub wrote: curious what people really think about these CCCP ultra kaiju???? Mixed bag. I really love the standing Hedorah that they've done (Doarat released a few) - it's one of my absolute favorites. And that Dodongo is amazing! I would love to have one of those. But other than those two sculpts which are absolutely TOPS, I don't like anything else they've done...or I should say, it's good but doesn't appeal to me. |

This sounds really cool. I've not seen any from CCP besides the one you got. I remember a couple years back when the spectreman link on ccp website showed all these old sculpt, but they've since removed it. The other version is Marmits VPB which is in blue. There maybe other colors. Btw, CCP Zunou was on YJA for 29800 yen, kinda ridiculous. |

I think that CCP has done some very nice sculpts, but I'm a fan of realistic sculpts. The glow Zazaahn is one that I had to have. I've been desperately searching for that Zunou since its release and would love to see pics of other versions besides red. Plover, if you're in a state of mind to let yours go, I'd trade some nice stuff. Pm me if interested in negotiating/haggling/teasing/whatever. |

Too detailed for me. I prefer the US Toys Eleking to this one. |

Thanks booschwobe. If I ever decide to part with him I'll definitely let you know. Here are images of the other versions. Man would I love a group of these guys! ![]() ![]() Red Marmit Parababy version in red. Nice and clunky.

My want list just got a little longer and more challenging. There is also a blue vinyl Marmit Para Baby Zunou. To keep on track here, I like Datadub's comparison to large Gashapon ultra kaiju. The Dodongo definitely looks like a supersized capsule kaiju. I like it, but not sure if I'll buy it yet. Now an LED Eleking will definitely find a space on my shelves. |

The Zunou looks like a Rainbow produced figure rather than CCP. |

CCP has their releases up - when the page loads look for the dropdown menu that has their past releases Tokusatsu Ultraman / Spectreman Artistic Monster Collection Kaiju There's also the PLEX colab, Muscular collection (kinnikuman), Kaiju Lawless, Masaaki Satake collection, etc. The one thing that CCP really doesn't do is list all of their colabs with various companies or any special editions. Two of the larger kaiju that i have are the "vanishing capsule kaiju" which are beautiful - a semi-opaque vinyl that was painted to look like the kaiju is "disappearing" from the knees down. Love this one and it has a pole-position on my Kaiju shelf KT photo: ![]() aw yeah

I don't normally like realistic sculpts, but what I loved about CCP in the beginning was that they were doing really wild (read: unrealistic!) colorways on those same sculpts. Also...they were doing a lot more glow. Now, they seem to be doing all realistic colorways which bores the hell outta me. One thing I'd love for them to do would be semi-articulated Kinnikuman figures. Those posed ones are static...and that's not cool. I don't mind their hyper-detailed sculpts, but if they were in more standard "A-stances" with rotating shoulders and necks, that'd be hot. Think Marmit's "Fierce Legend of Super Robots" line. Gimme at least a little play value, CCP! |

datadub wrote: curious what people really think about these CCCP ultra kaiju???? no doubt their sculptors are talented. that's an understatement, even. I just sort of feel like the sculpts themselves don't really lend themselves well to the medium. they just don't seem like vinyl toys to me. more like statues or busts. that's not meant to downplay them in any way, they're still incredible looking toys. i might change my tune if i ever had one in my hands. hard to say. |
