Ah-ha! I thought I must've been late in coming here with this news... I didn't think to check the pre-order section. To speak to Roger's comment in the other thread, yes, I believe this is probably intended to be half-scale of the original suit. That was Eye Scream president Masahiro Ogawa's guideline for their big Garamon, and I believe they are continuing that with all their other Hugh Jass kaiju releases. |

Eye Scream was selling the first edition (red) giant Garamon for about $1,100 shipped from Japan (they only sold the second, green edition within Japan; they had a very hard line about this... really did not seem to want any of the 60 made to leave the island, as far as they could help it). Of course, now you can score either version on YJA for probably $200 - $400 less (after shipping and fees). Some of you may have also noticed my recent attempt to unload my green version for $400 shipped, with no takers (he's staying home, for now, and I'm very thankful for that- I freaking love that toy). So, patience in the long run could get you this guy for several hundred less. If I had to hazard a guess, I would say the pre-order price for Kanegon will probably come in between $1400 - $1800. |
