Good thing Shinto Gangu is open in the evenings- very easy to visit after the day is over. ![]() Lavender Chaos and fishman Ragoon guy sold out already. ![]() ![]() ![]() A sea of kitties. This really blew me away for some reason. ![]() Hmm. ![]() I don't know if this is a planned thing, or just for fun. I'm all for glittery RxH, though. ![]() This. I could not work at night with something like this in the store. ![]() Friends of Shinto Gangu on display... First thing I saw when I walked in... pretty cool. ![]() Crazy part is that all of those boxes in back had the names of figures written on them. Boxes and boxes of RxH. The unofficial name of the Mazinger Bigaro is "Bigaro Z." ![]() Everything you have heard is true- Mori is just a really nice guy; easy to talk to even if your Japanese is horrible to nonexistent (like mine!). We chatted a bit when the shop slowed down, discussed our favorite toy lines and such. I think I get the paint masks now- RxH is really more like a series of homemade action figures from the 90s, as opposed to an 'art toy.' Very unpretentious and funky. He even took a photo with me. I threw up a shaka and he made faces. I look like an idiot, so that's not getting posted here. |

I have always compared RxH to Masters of the Universe, but I do get a real TMNT vibe too. Alot of using of the same sculpts/body parts etc. I really like the combo of "Kaiju Spray" on a figure that looks like it SHOULD be masked, though. Hence my overall love of the original sprays he does. BUT I love what Mori is doing combining masks and freehands, it's really great. 2009 has already been fantastic for RxH, I can hardly wait to see what else is done. Great shots akum6n, thanks! |

yeah, akum6n. thanks for sharing as far as the free-hand/ masking goes--I agree with BD; the combination of the two have produced some really exciting stuff. |

Too much good stuff in that pic. Gold rub Evil, GID blue rub Chaos, mystery flesh figs, and I like the slime Ryusei Ninja I see peeking out. The store itself looks awesome as well, all light up at night. |
