Brian's editorial in the latest Super7 got me thinking about regret. Specifically, toy-related regret. Even more specifically, this Bullmark Bello Bello that Jim Maitland pointed out to me that I would have won if I didn't bid like a wuss:

It ended at about $250, way below what I was told they've been selling for at retail, and I really feel dumb, dumb, dumb.

How about you?

man!!! that's the kaiju that you were asking about like last year, right?
fuck... $250 sounds really cheap for a rare toy like that!!!

oh, btw... did you ever found a pic of the other kaiju from that show? the skeletal bird? -- i think i might seen one in a pic i found.... i have to check in my files

Yep. I haven't found a pic of Gari Gari (the skeletal bird) yet. I used to have one, but lost it.

I'm happy to say, that since everyone helped me figure out the whole YJA thing, I've been able to add all the "ones that got away" figures to my collection!!!

The biggest fish was the M1 all glow Ragon. I only saw it show up on ebay twice. The first time it got away I didn't bid enough and learned my lesson. The second time I bid a crazy amount and was still outbid. Both time the auction ended really early in the am and wasn't awake to bid again at last minute.

That "bello bello" bird guy is awesome; or whatever it's called...that case is pretty insane. I think whenever I finally get over to Japan my head will simply explode...

Here you go, Roger. I scammed these from YJA a few years ago. Am still looking for these myself.

You can also see a prototype paint scheme for these guys in the lower right hand corner of one of the larger Bullmark poster/catalogs.

Those are great pics, thanks so much!

I know that as soon as I actually get a couple, they'll be reissued the next day...

I thought I was in it to win it with this one, figuring that many Japanese bidders wouldn't want a toy with no packaging, but alas, it was not to be:
