Looking back through the old threads, I could not find one cataloging new DR releases. I figured what the heck I'll just start one here. (My apologies if I missed a similar thread in my search.)

So, this is GIROZUN ("Horse Leech"). Pretty cool, eh.

^^^Yup, saw that one Slack. Thanks. I didn't add on to it, because it was joined with Max Toys.

It looks pretty gnarly. I picked up the clear blue/green beetle dude a while back and I've been trying to decide for a while now whether or not I want to take the leap into D.R.'s akakage kaiju. I do like that line more so then their own creations though.

Sorry... kind of my fault. I used to have a list of the DR releases, but fell behind on updating it.

I just got Girozun in yesterday... he's one of the bigger sculpts, and heavy. I think DR had to weight down the bottom (maybe with resin or something) because of all the parts up top. The mouth segments rotate independently and extend out.

i'm not sure i like this.
the character looks good, but is there any articulation?
like the marnon, the sculpt is sweet, but the fact that i can only swivel the tongue has always annoyed me.
i guess my dislike is that it looks like a finger puppet...

Hahaha! It DOES look like a finger puppet!

As always, once in hand this thing is cool! Really heavy and spooky.
The extending mouth part is even better than I thought. There are 3 segments that pull out. Fun.

OH!!

They worked that Gazura-like gimmick into this, where the mouthy bits telescope? Sweet!

I'll take mine in glow, please.

That "Queen" version of Gazura is killer, huh?

It's totally killer. The similarly painted GID Balbagon makes a really nice shelf match.

Great necropost and photos Yuck!!!. I always thought DR deserved its own thread.

Yeah that Gazura is my absolute favorite crawler ever.

The sprays on those GiDs are really beautiful, especially Gazura! I picked up the S7 version a few months ago, but that Queen blows it out of the water!

Yeah, the King and Queen versions are amazing (although I think that one is the King version, which I also prefer). One of the first Kaiju-Taro exclusives too... historical!

Oh? I remember them being very similar...I even had the Queen at one point, but it's been so long...

And, yeah, the similar Balbagon's no sloucher! ;)

When I bought the one pictured it was listed as the Queen version. Pretty sure that was from Kaiju Taro (?) but as Sanjeev says it's been years.

Also a fan of the GID Gumos. Much more subtle than a lot of Yajima-san's vibrant paints.

I believe the other KT Gazura just had a light green in place of the pink, you really don't see either version very often come to think of it.

Actually, I have to take that back. I went through my photos and purchase records, and I think you and Sanjeev are correct. The pink and blue one is the Queen version and the green and teal one is the King version.

I bought the two separately, the King after Queen, both from K-T. My photo of the Queen is date-marked prior to my purchase receipt for the King. I must have transposed the names when I saved the stock photos long ago, and unfortunately, there's no easy way to confirm the information today. My bad.

Old Dream Rocket figures have become really hard to find in general.

No sweat, Daniel. Your pinky contains about as much knowledge of Japanese toys as my entire being. ;)

I was never a huge fan of the Gumos sculpt, but that GID color scheme is pretty amazing. I've always thought the Gilmos sculpt was highly underrated.

I wish I'd kept better records. I had a nightmare incident last year ... I was sick and hospitalized. Some friends did a really cool thing and paid to have housecleaners tidy up my place for my homecoming, except ... yikes, the moronic theiving housecleaners threw out all of my header cards and bags (among other things,) which had notes about what I'd bought and when, and how to identify the toys. Freakin' idiots. So now everything is left to (faulty) memory. Indeed, kudos to you Daniel for your knowledge, which never ceases to amaze me.

I went through the entire Dream Rocket blog yesterday to try to find verification, but it looks like at some point he'd redesigned the site (?) so a lot of things that used to be there are no more. Strange, because the blog still goes back several years.

What a bizarre story Dean, and one I am very sorry to hear. What kind of 'cleaners' throw anything away, except the trash. Truly mind boggling.

I don't think I trust cleaning services.....

Thanks for the understanding, folks. Sorry, didn't mean to thread-hijack, but yeah, the whole episode was awful. I had to focus on healing so I felt bad about my friends trying to duke it out with the woman in charge of the cleaners. She actually wanted to charge $1,300 more than the original estimate despite LOTS of theft. Header cards were the least of it. We basically said we'd pay the original quote in exchange for not contacting the cops, which her lawyer told her she'd better accept. That may not sound very aggressive but again, I was in no shape for a battle at the time. The good news is that no toys were missing. Lesson learned: Only hire housecleaners with an established professional reputation. There are plenty of trustworthy ones out there.
