Looking for background story and any other info anybody might have on Agasukeron (アガスケロン). Its the guy on the left in the picture

I know that Wombat Toys has released at least one version.

Is this a character from an old movie or show; or a patchi creation?

After spending a couple hours here and there looking, have not really come up with much of anything...

Just wondering if someone out there might know something...

Thanks!

According to a post at REdYOdA's Kaiju Art Collection site, there have been at least four Wombat releases of this monster. Evidently it's based on old Pachimon trading card art, possibly by Shigeru Komatsuzaki.

At least 4. I wrote that back in January...so I'm not sure how many are out now.
The art is by Shigeru Komatsuzaki...which I also posted a little bit about here...

The monster wasn't from any TV/Films

The wombat figure is a one eyed slightly different version of Jamira from Ultraman.

The trading card monster was almost certainly inspired by Jamira but if I understand correctly, almost all Wombat toys derive from vintage trading cards, regardless of whether the card monsters were adaptations or originals. (?) There are numerous scans of the cards at the Wombat site.

After seeing that fantastic one-off at TK2, I'm sorry I had the sale!
Luckily I kept one of them.

I assume you snagged the one-off George? I though it was really well done, great color combos.

Ralph. I carried my Batman book around with me all evening hoping you would be there to sign it.
