22 bids ending at $1,875! Wish I had the high roller dough to have joined in. This is no doubt a jewel in some lucky stiff's collection.

You might get panned for posting a live auction that's currently.... still online. That being said I hope the bidder/seller reconsider and donate the money to feed a small child or help the people in Haiti. i mean that kind of money could go to something really great.

Thought about that. That's why the info was kept to a min and currency in yen and dollars. It's prolly over already anyway. (edit) I just learned that this sale is for a serious "personal need to sell situation". I want to ad that I in no way meant any malice in posting this thread. I dare say now that it might be a good thing that more people know about this auction as it will help out a really good guy. Sorry I won't name names.

You know who you are, I hope all goes well for you man.

Why the hell should someone donate the proceeds from selling their toy to anyone?
Fucking altruists.

So this was the only GID Bemon released? I seem to recall seeing an unpainted GID in YJA some months ago.

Same person winning the bid on this GID bemon and AA Cadmium recently, total up almost $2500....

It isn't even among the better looking GID HPs I've seen. Whoever bought this is a victim of hype, and likely not very clever with money. Not that I am

What I wonder is how much it would have gone for if Skullbrain didn't exist to make Bemon the idol it is.

Each to his own.
I've bought and loved stuff that others have openly hated.

But this looks like grey dirty snow to me.
Nothing appealing to me, even for a GID.

i love the dirty nyc snow with spilt strawberry milkshake look of this bemon,,it brings out the whole pollution vibe..

but there is no way in hell i could drop $1800 on it...

maybe if i was minted,,i would have,,but that is not the case :(

IMO not the best looking Bemon. I like it but not for that amount of money. I'm not surprised it went this high though. It's also the first GID Bemon I've seen for sale on eBay.

Indeed.
Also, I need to look into this sarcasm exclamation point they are working on...

Definitely has that pollution vibe like Jeb mentioned except I felt it looked a lot like chewing gum on the sidewalk. I can't afford the price tag but I'd welcome that Bemon into my collection any time :) A beauty through my eyes.

Agreed!

Yeah, I still haven't broke my $150 limit.

BTW, a great looking Bemon.

Post subject:  Re: Bemonery

Hey If I was in those guys higher tax bracket I'd drop the dough on that Bemon. But the reality for most of us is no so naturally we have a hard time wraping our heads around the logic of spending that kind of money on a toy. ,,most of us at least .

Even if I was set for life, won the lottery etc etc, I still couldn't pull the trigger on this.
But again, I like stuff that others hate so it all evens out in the cosmos...

Post subject:  Re: Bemonery

Yeah but the great thing about having big money is if you lost yer senses and decided to blow the whole wad on toys you can. Not so the other way round unless you're a bank robber by trade. You can't Mcgyver that Bemon into your detolf, cash gits it done

Post subject:  Re: Bemonery

This is a pretty decent Bemon. If Nazi zombies rose and destroyed all other Bemons (or, say, all the Gogas) and the original molds and this was the last one left, I would pay $1,875 for it.

Things as they are, it's hard to imagine dropping that much even if I could.
