I have an opportunity to buy a signed (Kiyoka) Mibora being offered at $400. Is that a fair price, or is that off-the-wall high? Looks like a zag with a different head, and zags generally aren't nearly that expensive.

Are they rare? What do they go for when they come up on sale at the forum?

I like it a lot, and if they cost in that neighborhood, I could see myself buying it, but if it's not all that hard to get one for less, I'd just as soon wait.

Thanks.

so far painted miboras have only been available at custom shows

and from what i've seen they sell for around $300-400

so i would say it's a fair price, especially for a kyioka

im not really sure if they are 'rare', but miboras are only used for customs for shows and special events.
they usually dont come up for sale, and 400 is a pretty fair price. they were going for around 300 at comic con i think.

The miboras at sdcc were 300 and the miboras at the gargamel/super7 show were 400.

I don't know how 'rare' they are but Gargamel will only sell these at show events. There apparently won't be an standard issue releases.

Thanks, guys. That answers my questions. I think I'll go for it. I'll post a picture when it's in my hands. Probably tomorrow.

if you don't like it when you get it in hand, please get in touch.

I don't understand how 1 ofs are only $400 but the production camo zags are way more?

because zag is undisputed #1 gargamel most popular sculpt and that camo scheme is much more tedious to paint than standard sprays ??

Ah. I think these originally debuted overseas at a show and seemed super limited and two hit yja and the bidding was insane..almost a grand.

But then it turns out that more were offered later for $300 or so at SDCC and even a few more for raffle from SUPER7.

They are hard to get and everyone seems like like the camo color scheme.

I don't think they'll ever fetch what they did from the yja bids but that's just my opinion.

Steamin' day for the zwrdl! I did get the Mibora, which is indeed the one pictured above. I was mistaken on the signature, though: wrong Ikeda. Nayoa signed it, not Kiyoka.

Thanks for all your help. I'll post some pics tomorrow on the Monsters in the Mangrove thread under Kaiju Carnies.

BTW, that camo zag (below) went for $555 and was the first piece sold. I'm sure there will be better pics of it in the MitM thread.
