| Post subject: | Best Toy Line-ups? |
In looking through photos I find that there's typically at least one figure that I like from each toy line/manufacturer. But I always find that I dislike more than I like, and I wondered if there were any toy lines where I liked ALL of the sculpts. Thinking through all my favorite companies the only line-up I could come up with was EXOHEAD. But there are only 5 sculpts - the "ass helmet", the "skull cock helmet", Skullrex, Grodnoid, and Galtan (mini). Hopefully Jun really will come back to the Man Machine line some day...I can't imagine him creating a MM that I wouldn't like. (I suppose I could add Ilu Ilu in as an entire line that I like, but being new on the scene with only 2 sculpts I think it's premature.) What's your strongest toy line? |

Gargamel and RxH (2004-up to when he started doing adult sculpts). When it comes to Gargamel, I like a lot of the sculpts, but not a lot of the colorways. Nag, but it's a bit early. I don't like the siamese head sculpt as much as the others but 2 out of 3 isn't bad. |

For me it's Buta No Hana and Elegab. I love the vast majority of what they both do. |

I can see how someone might like all the RxH sculpts...but Secret Base? Those skulls? Those bottles? Those Hello Kitties? Those Micro Infections? Those Ultimate Battles? Yes, SB has put out some great toys - but they've also put out A LOT of crap. Edit: Actually, I take that back about RxH - I would find it very surprising if someone liked ALL of the RxH line too. |

For me it is Elegab and M1.... M1 continues to kick but over the years with new sculpts and reissues. I can't think of one I hate. The Kaiju by Nari-san of Elegab really bring out the kid in me, and so far I have enjoyed every release. They are quickly becoming my favorites. His toys look like they should be banged together while making monster sounds and playing out the (dokuro) Taro story....AAATTAAACCKKKKKKK GRRRRRRRR RRRROAAARRRRRR ARRRRRRRGGGG !!!!!! Real fun toys that should have been played with in a sand box! |

MVH - 2 vinyl sculpts....for now Greasebat - 1 sculpt....for now PK - 1 sculpt (I don't count Party Ball cause it's a Super 7 toy) Baikin (not sure what name his company is) - 1 sculpt Does having 1 sculpt count as a line-up? |

Apparently, the Bemon-maker, Honda-san, and he had a falling out last year and now the Bemon/Gorilla toys are being sold through other channels. I think all CKA figures are labeled as Longneck. |

That's the impression I got. That Honda does the pollution monster, 2 Head and GoJu. Longneck is CKA. |

Elegab, Anraku and Buta - while I don't personally like all of their sculpts, I can totally see that there's no "filler" or "weak links". M1 is TERRIFIC, but there are just too many characters I don't care about. And I generally hate Flying Hedorah sculpts. Pushead - interesting. He has toys that belong to various lines. But sure, you can consider Pushead to be a line of toys unto itself. |

living dead wrote: kontact wrote: A pumpkin ghost with a raygun behind his back and a santa hat?? yes please! almost sounds like poetry right there I'm pretty sure those are Mars-Volta lyrics This is one of those questions that almost needs some parameters. If we're going by percentages, then I would say Mr. Bemon Guy who is 2 for 2. But if we're saying with more than 5 different sculpt (completely random number), I would go with Real Head. |
