Post subject:  Toy Release Dates? Geeky need to know!
Hello, I am updating my toy ledger, and being a geek for details, I would like to find out the toy release dates for the following toys (I tried searching here and on the web, but couldn't find the dates). Sorry for the shameless photo pirating, but I am stuck in the office right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So, this guy fascinated me too, but I didn't even know its name. However, just recently I've spotted it in this pic from Kadomiumtank's blog:

At least, I think that's the same figure. Also like the one with the silver highlights blocking it.

KaosHead, yes, you are correct! The little guy is a para-baby version of Giragindo, and is made by Marmit (Vinyl Paradise series I think). Marmit made a whole series of these para-babies (ultra cute of course!).

my baruzas standard is 1997 and giragindo bearmodel is 2000...but my preferred is...

I've just adopted a Marmit Bakular, and would like some more info on this character. He's creepy in a cute way, and I first discovered him on booschwobe's geek shelf photos, but couldn't find any detailed info. Can someone please help me ID these versions with release years?:

2. Is this the CCP version, and if so what year?
3. These look like Marmit para-babies, but what is the story with the one that has a face on his chest vs. no face? ...and year?

SPECTREMAN Episodes:

Thank you melek_taus! That was very enjoyable. Didn't know that termites could put up such a fearsome fight :shock: . And now I know that the face thing belongs in the tummy, and it's the "protozoa" inside of their gut that helps them digest their food and stay alive (just like in real termites) :P

...now if someone could please id the toys and provide the years too? :wink:

I may help you on the Spectreman beauties.

Here are some approximate release dates (+/- 1 year)

Giragindo :
Bear Model : Around 2004
Marmit Para Babies (2 colors, brown or blue) : 2001

Bakura :
CCP (1 = CCP exclusive Glow, 2 = CCP regular reissue from Original 70's Masudaya, also exists in brown) : 2002
Marmit Para Babies (2 sets of different colors) : 2000

Thanks for the great info guys. The Spectreman clips got me thinking. Does anyone know of a good place to score some decent copies of the lesser known setai/tokusatsu series? There seems to be a whole lot of 'boot' distributors, but you can never tell with respect to quality and sound.

I should also mention I am not a fan of dubbing :| ...so original Japanese would be preferred

THANK YOU :P PlasticXO!!! I can fill in my geeky toy ledgers now and plan out my want list! Your website is a lot of fun. I like the special effects of clicking on a screened toy bag, and having itself "open" for you to reveal toy goodness :P . The 3D spin feature is also cute--Bakular looks great when he's spining around like that. I'll have to explore your website in more details. Sending an XO your way! :wink:

I had fun doing those spinning pics, but it's a lot of work and I don't do them anymore since I concentrated on flickr. It's great to have feedback & comments from time to time.

PlasticXO, just had a chance to watch your spinning Dustman--they are all great figures! I didn't realize you also created LeStudioPlastique! I hope you will revive the content, I miss the vinyl stories. And, thanks for the updates on the Spectreman release as well!
