Someone should dig up the photos of the Secret Base collection event that he did at Meltdown. 2006 I think, I went and it was pretty incredible to see it all displayed.

I will never forget walking into meltdown when Carl's Secret Base Collection was on display. My friends Dave and Larry called me a couple of weeks before my visit and told me that "some of those really expensive/over-priced japanese toys you get from Span are on display at Meltdown, and there's alot of them." When was that?

Haha - mega-thanks to that wanker Mondo for unearthing this thread. Seems like so long ago. And most of this stuff is in boxes, so its great to see it again!

Battle of the Collections: Henshin Cyborg Style - late 2005 - Ramos was just hatching his Skullbrain.org plot, and that pic is teh first time we got to meet. I had heard about this local collector via Meltdown, so I got in touch with him and we chatted and we liked teh same stuff and were geeking out. Then I sent him a description of a flyer/poster for teh event. What came back was EXACTLY what I envisaged. Spot on first time. The flyer design saw teh light of day on teh first run of RFSO shirts. Gaston at Meltdown also made it into huge 3 x 4 posters. Which he gave to each of us. S7 provided some free mags and Hiddy sent a grip of SB stickers. Skull Toys also sent the pink Doku-Rocks suit PRIOR to release.

Check out teh comments fomr everyone on this thraed and teh two threads that Mark links to - Skullbrain history right there - and a time when everyone was stoked just to be chatting about this stuff. GREAT times!
