I only dig maybe half the sculpts out there across the various companies putting these out. I was surprised with how many different companies or toys are getting classed as fight figures too going by the Super 7 article. I think a couple reasons I like what I do and the style of toy is the charcter and story that go with them. They have been rounded out a little with a history. Makes them more a toy that way too I think. Very much like the story that tied Henshin Cyborg together. My own question is what makes a figure a "Fight Figure"? I personally don't see Damneddron or Pharoh as fight figures, but they made the Super 7 article. |

for me, a toy's stance has a lot of bearing on whether or not its considered to be "fight" for example, the pharoah and damnedron both have a sort of forward focused, menacing look, like they are literally about to throw down. at least thats what my imagination says |

I'm not sure if this will really explain why I like them, but last year when I went to Comic Con I never knew what Super 7 or Secret Base was. I use to collect Toy2r. I got a copy of the Super 7 magazine with this picture in it and was totally hooked. I think I liked the Skull Wing first. I love all the figures now. I really like the way most of them have the same basic body style and the detail is incredible. Their hands, face, etc............................................. |

Cool monsters and such (I see Damnedron as a nice nod to Hedorah). I figure the Fight Series to be themed on martial arts of some kind. Each figure a master of a discipline if you follow me. Fighters in the some fight tournament where death is the only final bell. Oh, and I loved thos finger puppets as a kid. Think I still have em about somewhere. |

I liked them in the begining because of attention to detail, I still do but the story behind them makes them so much better. I have always (all my life) been a fan of Rat Fink and the fact that the first fight figure was based on him gives it so much more meaning to me. I just wish there weren't so many because I want them all and I don't have a job that is good enough to afford them. |

They are well made, really nice sculpts, nice paint jobs, they are fun to collect, monsters and aliens are cool, their size is perfect and they look really cool in a group, so a combination of those things plus some other more unexplainable reasons is probably why I like the ones I do. I don't like all fight figures though. |

Follow-up questions: 1) How many of you with fight figures actually make them fight each other? 2) Is the fight figure concept based on any vintage Japanese toys? I've seen things like vintage Kinikuman vinyls, but never a ring where they could be bashed into each other. |
