As a dude with longtime facial hair, I am so tired of seeing mustaches placed on everything. Seriously why is that suddenly so hip? I am all about the mustache, but NOT because it is ironic. Spikes, tentacles, teeth, and eyeballs are sooo Kaiju . But then you gotta flip the switch, and add some exaggerated dollar signs and a, wait for it, mustache! Geez, if this is getting made, I can't imagine how to pitch this to a maker. Seriously, a dollar sign and a mustache is the selling point on this? Like spray paint caps and ghetto blasters?! Cause god knows the KR collectors don't give a shit about monster parts. Is there some sort of artistic social commentary that I'm not getting here?

I might be misreading this but I always thought that the reason non-kaiju/western/mainstream/designer toy-makers are getting projects done in Sofubi is because the material is considered to be of a higher quality and the craftsmanship better when made in Japan vs China (where most other designer/adult toys are made.) I often wonder what our Japanese counterparts - collectors and creators alike - think of the way we get hung up on terms like kaiju, neo-kaiju, designer toy, art toy, sofubi etc....
