BEAUTIFUL specimen, but I think that's an M1 repro rather than a nouveau Bullmark edition: The pride of '97. Happen to know for sure?
Oh dangit, guess you're right! Guess I got too excited digging through old pics...

^ CLASSIC B-Crub!

I kind of dig the new (and over-priced) translucent Medicom collabs:

They both have the wonderful gimmick of visible stomach contents:

Another horrendous photo by me, but I wanted to show the awesomeness and underappreciatedness (new word alert) of these somewhat-vintage giant Bandai Ultras. They stand about 1 ft tall. The darker metallic Ultraman is actually from a different series than the others, but its similar enough to include in this group. They are cheap and fun (and mine have been well-enjoyed before me).

^ I love how thuggish Sebben looks! Very nice row - seeing them all together helps me to appreciate the sculpts a lot more, as I tend to be dismissive of 'realistic' toys when they're on their own.

Looking forward to Steve's eloquent paragraph about the above.

Haha, well, I don't about eloquence, but I do have a special place in my heart for these figures. For one, because they remind me of the Ultraman toys of my own youth (before my mind was exploded by the beauty of Marusan and Bullmark 'big' toys) and are what I always craved to have, but never did. Just think of the adventures these fellas could have alongside the 12" Star Wars line, the crossover possibilities are endless. :) Surprisingly, for Bandai Ultra toys, these are becoming harder to snag in the current market. Which is probably a good thing, as it means people are now giving them the appreciation they deserve. Sure they are simple, but they are also classic, and fill in a very specific area of the toy scope not covered by the earlier sofubi (or later lines for that matter). One of the best part of these is that they inevitably show signs of battle damage/love, from all their Ultraventures. [And all the more reason to take 'em out and continue to play with them to your own delight. ] Congratulations on building the whole family. They are quite nice, and it makes me happy to see some Bandais get occasional love on here still.

That is a fantastic grab Rei, you have sure been on a great streak lately. That Dodongo was one of my very first B-Clubs I think, and still sits up there with some of my favs. The GID vinyl is so nice, and boy do those colours make me smile. This was always one of my favourite '66 episodes (which means it ranks highly out of them all) and I always wished for a toy of his Mummy counterpart to go with. Anyway, getting off topic, but I do so love that figure. A really classic Bullmark sculpt, and done so well in this 'neo' version.

Ohhhhhh!!! Ahhhhhh!!! Stunning for sure!
Now all you need is a baby Buta Dodongo to complete the picture
So nice Rei!

Time to feature my favourite lost astronaut. Truly his is a tale of ultimate sadness, and just thinking of it wells up the emotions. But thankfully, from all that, we have this amazing Bullmark [by way of B-Club] toy to revel in his image and continue on with his happy space adventures. A lifetime favourite.

I must be on the lookout for this one, to put beside my yellow Rampage Jamila! :o Love that yellow vinyl...

Thanks fellas, I really am in love with him, for all those reasons you mentioned and more. Rei, it is actually not vinyl - as they haven't [yet] released a classic version, but custom yellow paint done on a regular B-Club figure. Seeing as how I can't afford the original vintage version of this wonderful guy, I think this is the next best thing a dude could ask for.

(Many apologies for the shitty photos guys, it was really bugging me, so I replaced it with the best I could do, but my old camera was just not cooperating. I just wanted to do the toy justice.)

Okay, here is another classic sixtysixer. And for me, another figure which, while perhaps not show-realistic reflecting his tv counterpart, has remained one of my favourite Bullmark sculpts. Two few of these guys out there. That toothy grin says it all.

Keep your hype toys kids, I am just thrilled to the tees with the Bs. :)

Maglar, Magular, Magra, Magura, Magilla, Maggie... Just go with マグラー for maximum toy pr0n fun!

Yeah, it can be confusing at times, trying to come up with a rōmaji version of the Japanese kaiju names, which is why you more than often come up with a couple 'variations' of names for characters that people have used over time. Heck, even romanization itself can go by different systems (most generally use Hepburn or a version thereof). I've always went with Magular for this fella, but whatever alternative you like is just fine by my books, Rei.
