(Anybody else getting dejavu looking at the boards the past few weeks?? There's a bunch of toy makers out there that don't have their own threads so here's a few to start up some fresh discussion around these dusty shelves..)

I'm surprised there isn't a dedicated Terrible Whore thread yet.. FFF has had a bunch of great releases and there is a new figure just around the corner. Looks like it will contain similar elements but from what I've heard it will be something totally different and unexpected.. has anybody heard more about this??

Plus his packaging is some of the best out there - these silkscreened sacks are fantastic bonus items!

Preview of the new sculpt.. any ideas what's going on with this one? what it could be?? Other photos I've seen show similar FFF elements thrown in there but this face feature is something new.

This particular one-off on the right side for the Soft Vinyl Mayhem show is my favorite FFF to date. I hope it's residing in a happy collection somewhere.



Though I'm sure it was not used or intended in any way malicious, I do have to say that the totenkopf design element used on that drawstring bag kind of turns my stomach.

I'm really curious to see what this new sculpt is about.

Met this dude last week. He was super friendly, happy camper. He showed me pics of that new sculpt... but i can't remember what was what on it. In my mind it was a little totem-ish.

I was able to score his first Fucking Four Fingers drop. It's a nice, solid sculpt and surprisingly large.

I'm excited to get Unbox Industries' Hand of Glory by Florian Bertmer later this since since FFF is right-handed and that'll be left-handed. Gotta make that sofubi clap!

I fully agree! That with the 3 interlocking triangles is definitely questionable to me. If you're not a white supremacist then why incorporate the symbols or even come close? Seems to me you'd want to stay as far away as possible. And if you're a white supremacist then fuck you :evil:

I wouldn't overanalyze it. I view it more as an artist trying to take back the meaning of a symbol and personalize it rather than using it to represent their beliefs. I have a sticker pack from him and one of them was Mickey Mouse with swastikas in his eyes and a giant erection holding a sickle.

Besides, he changed the bag design anyway.

A Star of David with one triangle made up of femurs - yeah, that's really innocuous. Trying to "take back" Nazi symbols and "personalize" them seems pretty fucking dumb in my opinion, especially if you're making toys. Carry on.

Personally, I'm not. It is what it is -- Someone using symbolic imagery but bending it to make it 'cool' or 'occult looking' or whatever, nothing deeper than that (I would wholeheartedly presume). It is just very poor taste, and that's unquestionable.

This is probably a discussion for another thread but, the idea of "Inappropriate" and/or "gone too far" has been bandied about forever in respect to art. Some people find the Maplethorpe photos inappropriate, some find them to be one of the greatest works of provocative art in history. I think however you feel about art works is legitimate because that's really what art is for. If the imagery used here invokes negative feelings that is just as real and legitimate as it not evoking anything. It doesn't bother me because to me it's just ink on a canvas bag and from what I know about Terrible Whore he doesn't subscribe to those particular beliefs.

Let's all just go on and feel how we feel about it and accept that not everyone does.

New sofubi TW debuted at the Kaiju vs Modular show. A sofubi bat, to impress your collector friends OR fend off trespassers!

I dig it, but that thing looks ENORMOUS. :shock: I genuinely have no idea where I would put the damn thing so I'm going to pass on it just out of sheer practicality, haha

Beat me to it!!

"Bat Mother Fucker" looks ridiculously huge for a sofubi toy! Pretty much 1:1 scale with a regular bat? I can spot some Madball style influence in there... packed full of details :)

Fucking Four Fingers is 10.25" inches from base to the tip of the middle finger and this looks double that :shock:
