so is good charlotte punk? from their appearance I was not expecting to hear songs that could have been performed by Hanson. When i first saw them hosting 120 minutes i thought they were goth or metal or something. |

The smiley Ts are part of a childrens range I think. Surely the use of smileys by BxH is a nice nod to their close ties with Barnzley anyway? The other bright Ts look like a leopard pattern to me, which BxH frequently use on their clothing. Its not as if Hikaru's leather jackets are at the duller end of the spectrum. |

i find it ironic that ever since the all over hoodie epidemic people have been pulling out all the strings - case in point i never expected to see rainbow tee's from bxh. also b had nothing to do with the smiley tee and i must be ignorant but i can't draw the parallel between barnzley and a splattered happy face? |

I think what makes the new shirts punk is that if Hikaru sees you wearing a smiley face shirt on the street he punches you in the face |

The nod towards Barnsley and the smiley face is more a slice of pop/fashion trivia more than any real belief that it is any more than a coincidence that he is down with BxH now. From Paul Gorman's excellent) book " The Look. Adventures in Pop and Rock Fashion".... "The smiley logo had re-emerged during the short lived 70s Superbad revival of late 1987, when flares and afro wigs were worn by rare groovers bored of the stripped down aesthetic of the scene. One of club culture's leading players, Simon Armitage (know as Barnsley), had made up a set of smiley T shirts which were sold through the Duffer, whose co-founder Eddie Prendergast boasted. "The whole 70s thing - we're probably responsible for that......." |

cornbluth wrote: Only if it were POP. SNAP and CRACKLE are homos. Homos eh? Haven't heard that in a while, not since some well adjusted guy in his 60's was complaining about two neighbors who were "Homo's". |
