I tried for one but they were sold out by the time the dude got to the store :( I'm not really planning to pay out the ass for one on the aftermarket, prices are too stupid on everything right now.

A big +1 on that. This is why I've been avoiding the Pirates (with the exception of my green SDCC one, which has sentimental value more than anything else). $250 right off the bat is more than I'd care to pay.

I got my Blood Pirate today, and it looks amazing... much nicer in person than in the images we've seen. It's kinda hard to distinguish the details of the different reds through the plastic bag in the pictures I've seen.

Anyway, very nice Pirate... clear red Pirate... mmmmm... clear red Pirate... :D

in your opinion...worth $300 in the aftermarket or less? i can't bring myself to drop that much on a production piece right now. pics man...pics! let's see those details and reds out of the bag. :twisted:

$300? I don't know about that... it's nice, but for $300, you're getting close to getting the hand-paint range. For me personally, I got a great deal but everyone knows I'm koo koo for clear red vinyl, and this one just does it for me. If you don't think it's the bee's knees, then I'd say $300 is too stiff a price for it considering it came out less than a week ago.

I'll try taking some good pictures of it... I have to set up the new mini lighting studio kit my mother-in-law got me for Xmas. :D

mine should be here tuesday, and i cant wait, I paid close to 300 for mine which yes is fucking crazy, but i figure these wont pop up on the bay like the clot did, if they do then well it's a lesson learned, but he will complete my pirate collection (for this week anyway!) and that will make me happy !
But yeah if these keep being produced in such small numbers it's gonna be a pain in the ass to be a completist me thinks :cry:
