Post subject: | new school Cyborg suits |
I can see from posts that other people are having some of the same problems I am. What are the best Cyborg or Waldar figures to wear the Secret Base suits and the Skull Toys suits without having to mutilate the figure to make the suit fit? I've had a poster tell me he cut off the head of a Cyborg with an exacto knife or drilled legs with a drummel...to make suits fit. I don't want to do that... I just got a Henshin Collection Cyborg figure with Devilman suit. The Devilman suit is easy to take off and put on the body. The Devilman head has a big slit in the back of it so it too is easy to take off and put on. Now, I heated up all the pieces of the Skull Toys suit. All fit on the Cyborg just fine except the head. The problem seems to be that the slit in the Skull head is just too narrow. So, is there a better chose for a figure? What about the re-issue Waldar? I understand the head completely comes off... Any input is appreciated... |

I didn't have any problem with my black BxH Muton reissue skull outfit. The Cyborg 99 suits are decent to get on and off. My two old outfits work fine on Muton the Rider X and Skull original. I hope this helps. Maybe Mutonismyfriend can add some more observations. |

I think repro silver or gold,or the originals are the best..I have 2 KWII and the forearms and calves are a lot larger..Ive tried to get the costumes on the KWIIs but have had no luck, which blows because theyre a really cool red and purple too!! |

The only bodies that are good to use for the suits without having to do any carving up are either the original 1970's Henshin Cyborg and Waldar bodies OR the reproductions of these. Neo Henshins will need some work to make the suits fit. Don't know about the Henshin99 bodies, but they look similar to the Neo Henshins. The small inner heads seem to be a problem though. They generally don't even come close to fitting inside the large head at all and are very hard to put on the body. I generally leave them off. |

Chad mailed me, and I couldn't offer much advice, mainly because I tend to leave the inner heads off because I don't want to scrape the paint off when putting the outer head on. I've had lots of success with clear inner heads, they seem much more flexible under heat. The Shonen size skull head looks amazing! As Moriachi says, only original or repro original bodies work with suits. The waldar repros are probably easier to get inner heads on because of the shape and flexibility of the inner "brain". mmm, this is beginning to sound extremely NERDY. We need to get out more. |
