so I purchased this Godzilla from board member Alice, and I can tell it is the Vinyl Paradise Godzilla '65 Monster Zero sculpt, but I've never seen it in this color before. it's not on Clubtokyo or in the Super 7 issue with all the Godzillas. is it some kind of show edition or exclusive? it's not a bootleg because it came on an official Marmit header (even if it was I would be into it). can anyone provide any info? sorry for the bad pics, I just took a couple quick ones to post here.
he comes with a small building, which is the standard for Parababies, but rare for a VP
here is the header
any info will be greatly appreciated. thanks. |

Actually it is on Club Tokyo, but Mike (the guy who runs the site) says it's "similar to" a Vinyl Paradise figure: www.clubtokyo.org/listings/itemListingR ... entID=1425 It's really, really similar to the 1965 version seen here: www.clubtokyo.org/listings/itemListingR ... tentID=833 (you may have to copy & paste those links to make them work since ClubTokyo doesn't allow remote linking). It's an event exclusive of some kind. From what I remember each of the three figures was being sold at different places, but I don't remember what they were. It's legit. Nice pickup! |

Toytokyo still has some for sale; that one is the "Odaiva" version. There is also a blue Goji with a different building called the "Shizouka ' version, and a Green "Yokahama" Goji. They are Marmit. |

They were made by Marmit for a small chain of 'nostalgic toy' shops called 'Toys Club', owned by a Mr. Kitahara (who is like the chief otaku of Japan or something). The Gozzy sculpts are all the same, just different colors, and for some reason were made in China - which didn't make them ANY cheaper than regular Marmit releases, but DID serve to delay them for about a year. Each color was sold in a different shop. |

haha I don't know why I didn't just think of asking you. please don't think I'm angry or anything. I wouldn't have bought it if I didn't want it, one way or another. I thought it was just an oddly packaged VP. but it's great regardless. |
