I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find the thread.

anyone have any 100% guaranteed advice on how to keep them upright?

Is this a widespread problem?
I have only had a few obakes in my day but they have all been pretty sure footed

I would say to bend the little legs when they are heated (blow dryer) but usually it will sort of go back to the original shape. Might help a little though

people have said hairdryer.. but i'm too lazy... so i use a string, which i place under the front of the foot (since all mine lean forward). seems to stand pretty good that way.

I just place a small folded piece of paper underneath mine to maintain balance, and it's so small you don't really see it. I heard of something called earthquake putty though, no idea. I too had this question. Only my GNO obake screws around like this though.

Some of my obakes are totally solid. Others tip forward at the slightest breeze. For those, I put coins or folded paper under their toes. One of these days I'm going to get that museum gel that everyone talks about.

I think I have 5 or 6 Obake's and they all stand solid. Can see them being front heavy though.

well I live in an apartment building and the neighbors on my floor love to slam doors, thus shaking the entire apartment and toppling toys.

I have used a hairdryer on one or two before, but all it takes it a good slam to revert them back to falling.

I'll have to do some more extensive work on them

My Masked Ranger Bagman from Shocker looked like it had spent the entire flight over to the UK squashed flat (face up) under the entire cargo load! When I tried to stand it up the feet were that outta line it was at a crazy 45 degree angle backwards.

A little heat from a hairdryer and gentle coaxing back into shape followed by rapid cooling under a cold tap 'sets' the feet back to the original angle.

The head bag was also totally flattened and distorted . . . the same hairdryer + rapid cooling and its back to A1 shape!
