Regarding the wrestling figures, with the exception of the 2 in the bottom row, right side - in my experience these go for anywhere from $75.00 to $110.00. That's about what I paid for all them either on ebay or YJA. I think the vintage wrestling figures are wicked cool but there doesn't seem to be much demand for some of them (and the ones in the best condition still have the sash around their torso). I don't own Tiger Mask of the guy to his right so I don't know what they're worth.

I recently got out bid on a Dr. No. standard size vinyl on YJA that went for about $300.00 - there was a lot of interest in that particular figure. On the other hand, I bought the giant size glow Dr. No for about $50.00 - it's such a cool figure I can't believe there isn't more interest in it - but there you go.

wow so you got the other 5 figures for around $110 all together or each? thats amazing. did you put in the costs to ship from japan or third party fees?

i was shown earlier today on an old ebay auction with tigetmask with his mask but no cape that went for $240 ...

would you guys think $400 for the 7 is a good price?

If you're thinking about buying them, yes. If you're selling them, you may be able to get more than that. The wrestling figure collectors seem to be a very small group - the problem with bundling for sale is that some collectors may only be missing one or two and thus wouldn't bid on a group but would if they were sold individually.

As far as the Tiger Mask - I don't know a lot about that particular figure - but generally it seems more popular among collectors (depending on the version and maker) - I've even seen modern remakes by Marusan go for more than $100.00 - it really depends on the character - you can't generalize prices for all these wrestling guys. I think I paid about $75.00 for the mummy, about $80.00 or so for Kamikaze - in that ballpark. Yours appear to have some scuffs which come collectors don't like - and that would affect price too. Personally, it's never bothered me - in fact I kind of like a toy with a nice patina on it, that is played with and therefore looks old. So the prices I've paid for some figures may reflect the fact that they're not pristine examples.

I hope that helps.

i think the average price for each is around 70-80, of course, usually they are missing the cape and/or sash... of course. as elvisfromhell noted, the tigermask with the mask is more sought after, even if is missing the cape.

i just got two, universal mask and the red death mask

i got them for about 45 each, 3 years ago. cheap of course, since the red death is missing an antena and the universal mask has some writing on the leg... so you can pay about that price depending on the condition.

i think billygalaxy's ebay store has listed some tigermask vinyls as well. they had those on their old website starting at 80 bucks...

yeah - I've gotten some of these figures from Billy Galaxy in the past - i think I bought the mummy figure from him for around $80.00 in pretty decent shape and that zebra stripped guy for less than that but he has more playwear.

yeah, that's was the one, the zebra! -- i had that one on my watch list and was planing to buy it but i had to put him aside. the good thing about some vintage figures is that you can find them later.

anyone of you guys know how much (total with fees) would it cost to get a $30-50 toy to you in the US? im looking at rinkya.com ... ive seen them go for around that price? theres even a lot there now with likes like to be all of them in the bags still.

i dont have any experience with rinkya at all, but with celga you have to ad 20 bucks (shipping within jp, bank transfer, and celga fee), plus the shipping to the US (usually 12) so a 50 bucks toy would be like 82

*added* of course, is better if you buy more stuff on yahoo jp and not just one toy before shipping to the US.

The Nakajima tigermask figures should be around 85-125 each, and the tigermask without a mask should be only about 100. If it had a mask, boots and cape, it would be 2-300.

The popy kaiju are all about 20-25 each, and the heroes are about 20-25 as well.

this may seem a bit strange but i always notice that the wrestlers seem to go for more money on e bay than they do on yahoo . i have seen some ones in nice shape go for $50 in shops in japan . brian is right about the popy kaiju except for sadola and pester which should go for more money that the rest . only one person that i know of collects the wrestler figures and thats a guy named bret . nice to know that elvisfromhell is another knowledgable collector .

That's funny because my impression is the wrestling figures go for a lot more on YJA than ebay! There are some on YJA that are priced lower and go for less money but that's because they're been repainted (be careful bidding on some of these figures unless you can read the description or have someone who can read it for you. If a figure's been re-painted, the seller usually discloses that but there's no way of telling just from the photos). There are some of these figures that are way more desireable than others and can easily go for more than $300 - some as high as $500. The ones I've seen on ebay, with the exception of Tigermask himself, tend to be the more common ones and they don't usually go for big money. In fact I'm not sure I've ever seen one go for more than $175.00. I won on ebay several years ago a mint-in-the-bag Mr. X for $125.00.

I'm surprised more people aren't into the wrestling figures - some of them are so wonderfully bizarre - like the some of the new figures from Marusan featuring guys in business suits, wearing wrestling masks and somberos on their heads! They're just so out-there. But because more people aren't into them, it keeps it a nice affordable collecting niche. Plus, every once in a while I discover another bizarre one that I didn't even know existed. I think that's one of the many fun things about Japanese vinyl that's kept me interested for more than 15 years - just when you think you've seen it all - there's something even more mind-blowingly bizarre out there. It's like archeology - if you just keep digging, you never know what you'll find.

Here is a great resource site for TigerMask in general. They even have a really comprehensive "Figure Catalog".

i guess what i mean is probably the easier to get wrestler figures are up on yahoo all the time . if a rare figure comes up on e bay ( as with a lot of hard to find unique vinyls ) it will probably sell cheaper as most people will not really know what it is .years ago there was a giant size tigermask vinyl on ebay mib with a reserve of around 350 and i dont think it sold . yeah , i wish i had a time machine . i do have the med size tigermask as he along with dynamite kid were my favorite wrestlers and those 2 probably had some of the best matches ever .
