Garage kit.
1/1 scale ...
That means LIFESIZE ...
... and, in some cases, LARGER than life. |

I think a garage kit, is a small release resin model kit. |

Makes me think of "Real Dolls" those lifesize lady dolls with "real parts." Don't ask how I know of them. |

a 'garage kit' is an unofficial, unlicensed resin it. it means the kits are manufactured in someones 'garage' and not at a factory. 'I collect gargae kits (mostly spaceship ad armored vehicle models' and the good ones are usually limited to really small editions, and are usually way better and more elaborate than say a 'commercially' manufactured kit. |

the only caveat I would add here is that the garage kits sold at Wonfest are under a 1-day limited liscence arranged by Kaiyodo - the event sponsor - which is what is really cool about Wonfes. my best ( and most expensive) 'garage kit is a 1/20th scale star wars at-at walker. its like...legendary kit. guy in Canada made 12 of them about 15 years agi. its massive and hyper detailed. I also have a lot f really rare 1/15th scale ww1 and ww2 tank kits. those are super expensive as well. big rocketships..all sorts fo cool kits. even a 1/6th scale lil alex from clockwork orange. what sux tho is they are unbuilt. They pile up ...will I ever build them? |
