I don't have a clue, but it's a mighty fine find. You can't go wrong with a guy with muscles on his leg muscles!!

Am sure someone will be a long soon with a much more relevent post!! :D
Nice get though. Your collection would be one to see I think.

I determined that it is a newish Dream Rocket figure named "Jako" or if you wish, "Jakoh," or even "Jakou." Pick your transliterative schema!

http://www.dream-rocket.com/jakou.html

Dream Rocket is rad. I have some of their figures and also plan on getting one of the new glow versions of Gumozu that they have coming out...

It'll be interesting to see what Nagata's company is up to as well, because they also have a Gumouzu silhouette on the Max Toy Co. website, but who knows what color version it will be...

Yeah, I remember looking for that pair for awhile before I finally snagged them from YJA. Dream Rocket figures don't seem to appear there frequently, but sometimes you find them...

What happened to the connection with S7? I know that some early magazine exclusives were made by this company, and Brian once said that they usually solicit S7 for new figure releases, but these seem to be falling by the wayside for stateside distribution.

Knewnan, I wish I had known, we just ordered (and received the pink dogma) for another customer. We can get any and all dream rockets product, we just have to special order it.

This is good to know. What price range do these wind up being by the time you guys get these figures, Brian?

Knewnan, I believe that you are going to have a hard time getting those three due to some licensing concerns. I am slated to buy the red killer on the left, but I can't buy it from either of the makers/vendors directly (believe me, I tried) because of their licensing agreement in Japan. They can only sell it to somebody else who can then transfer the toy after somebody else is paid...crazy, eh!?

I would be interested to know as well. I really like some of these figures - especially the stag like beetle above in Knewnan's post,

The figures in Knewnan's other post with the lime, cyan and purple guys look well sweet as well. Same company?

Actually a Dream Rocket x Shono Kikaku x Nakayoshi tripartite collaborative release.

Nakayoshi also released a licensed version in 2003 of one of those three figures...Red Killer

I saw one of those three figs (The green one) on YJ going for big beans!

A bit much for a newer toy, must be some kind of catch.

I think they are a colaberation between 2 companies. Shono Kikaiku
and M-1 (Maybe I'm wrong?)

Nice beefy figs!

Paul, the one you saw was the 2003 Nakayoshi version. It was truly expensive. Perhaps they were a very limited edition, or maybe the seller had a wild hair up their *ss to get as much as they could for it...

I really like the fig in the first post. I wonder how much s7 could get one for...

I don't "feel" much of the kaiju monster figures, but why is it that the ones I do like are the damn near impossible to get super expensive release????? :(

I am finding I am digging this sort of figure more and more though, so hopefully I will like something cheap and obtainable soon. :D

What does the beetle guy above go for?

5800 yen in Japan, but I am as interested as you are in a rough US imported special order price. I think mine were close to Japanese retail at auction, but then there are always the dreaded fees and double shipping to contend with (*&^%$#@!)

I paid 5800 too.

You found it on YJA?

I remember seeing a silhouette of Jako when they were previewing it before release and it didn't interest me much but now that I see it more clearly, it is a pretty interesting design.
