Image these came out in the mid 60s and were to mimic the giant bug movies of that era . there are 3 bugs in the series and i did post another on a different thread . the invaider series also came with vehicles and little army men to fight them . maybe they might not be vinyls but they have that crazy 60s look that really appeals to me .

Hey, the Vintage Vinyl forum subtitle says "the older and weirder the cooler" and that is definitely W-E-I-R-D. Do you have any of the vehicles and army men so you can set up a cool battle diorama? Come to think of it, why don't they make little tanks and army men to go with vinyl kaiju? Only one I can think of is the little airplane that came with Biskup's Gamagon? You know of any vintage stuff that did this besides the toy you posted above?

yeah, they are called hamilton invaiders . only the green bug is called horrible hamilton . the helmet is bizzare and you could get a gun ( rifle ) that you use to shoot at them . the invaider bugs have a pull string on the back side .

Wow, these are crazy looking. Thanks for sharing Jim. I'd love to see these in person the next time I'm over to your place.

I love their eyes.

Cool series of toys by Remco! The Tanks and Helicopters that came with the line were all kinda futuristic looking. The hemet was the best - It had two big bug eyes and fit over your head (if you were a kid) like a gladiator helmet.

I seem to remember there being a series of three smaller bugs also - non-articulated unlike the three larger ones. The figures came packaged in a large window box all set up to look like a scene as if they were fighting.
