I recently went nuts and bought some vintage Japanese Models. Some really bizzare vehicles with amazing artwork. The kits themselves are really silly. It's always the artwork I dig most. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There was a cool patchi kaiju suprise in one of them! ![]() |

Do you guys have any information on the original illustrations used for these packages? Are they in specific collections that you are aware of? Museums? They are fantastic. |

AHH!! I still have the IDEAL TOYS version of that big blue and red robot. Does anyone remember the name? Or maybe it was MARX or REMCO. Paul? I think it was the same company that made KING ZOR, now that was a fuckin rad ass toy! |

I love that Nitto kaiju. Paul, there's a book you might be interested in, it's by the same people who did Godzilla Chronicles, Super Robot Chronicles, etc., I think it's just called Robot Model Chronicles, and it deals with all of those original vehicle and robot model series like Megaro-Zamac, etc. |

Someone needs to do a book, if there is not one yet, of just box art of these kits. Even though its not usually kaiju, I am still today amazed at the artwork on Tamiya military kits and they always catch my eye. |

Man, that box art is SO sweet. What are the actual kits like inside? i've never seen one open, is it soft vinyl or more like a plastic model kit? |
