| Post subject: | Smokey Vinyl Tips |
I'm looking for some advice to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of vinyl. I just got a couple vinyls from a seller in the mail and they smell like an ashtray. I've smelled stinky vinyl before but these are making me kinda sick. Anything I can do besides let them breathe some fresh air? |

Activated charcoal The charcoal will leech the smell out if you place it in an airtight bag together. |

yeah charcoal, perhaps those silica packs they put in things to maintain freshness. They are supposed to draw out moisture and odor. |

I read on another forum that some people put activated charcoal inside their cases to prevent odours. Worth a shot? Not sure how easy it is to come by though, they use it in colostomy bags so you could try and blag some samples from the local pharmacy |

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to try this out. Err... the charcoal not the scrotal truss. |
