Post subject:  Bullmark Clear with Metal Guts Red Baron

Digging thru my bins tonite I found this beauty I forgot I had...Bullmark 8.5 inch Red Baron in clear yellow vinyl with silver guts. The great thing about this guy is that the detailed robotic guts are thru out the body...arms, legs, head. Just fantastic. He also came with great hand attachments. The back of the blister card shows a few versions of him, anybody have any of the other ones? The red guts version looks pretty wicked.

I picked up a Red Baron from a board member a while back, but knew nothing about the attachments. Very cool attachments.

One of these days I'd like to take some really good photos with back and underl ighting to really highlight those cyborg guts. I even like how they sprayed a little bit of gold yellow on the attachments to match his body some. If anyone has other versions of this guy please feel free to post them.

Crud! I think you may be right! It just looked so good I assumed it was yellow vinyl!
I have a giant clear Bullmark triple fighter that has the same coloring and once again thought it was yellow vinyl. Maybe somebody has else has this figure and they can post picks...ahem Jim...Mark!

I think you'd be hard pressed to find any of the clear Popy or Bullmark sofubi without yellowing. I've got some various Kikaida, Fireman, etc. vinyls, in bag and out, that are the same yellow color. I think it's just the nature of the vinyl.

Sorry, Ralph, but Hillsy is right. This guy was clear and has yellowed over time. I also have him (but not with the cool attachments and great backing card) and the Triple Fighter and some Popys and they are all yellowed.

Saw these auctions end recently on YJA. The Zoffy is one of the clearest vintage vinyls I have ever seen. Zoffy went for 52,000 Yen and Father of Ultra went for 37,000 Yen.

Wow, you're not kidding Mark...those are almost as clear as the recent M1 Museum Ultraman. I can see why they went relatively high.

Thanks for the info guys. Not bummed about it, he is still pretty great.
Oh man the Zoffy and father are incredible! What do you guys think didn't yellow those figures?
Perhaps the mixture in the clear vinyl was different or figures stored in a different environment?
I'm really curious to what causes the yellowing in some and not in others.

It does not help that these figs are laying on that particleboard floor, but they are a little yellowed. Look at Zoffy's ears and hands and Fathers horns and neck. You could also see it a little better in some of the other pix for the auction. I think they were stored in some environment away from light with little oxygen and not in contact with other things they could reach with (e.g. the orig plastic bag). It is a good question. I would like to keep my M1/S7 Jet Jaguar and M1 Museum Ultraman & Baltan looking clear for as long as I can.

That's just amazing, never seen it!

Those two shows are just the coolest I've ever seen.

The Mach Baron theme is some wild psychadelia like that toy you have!
