Ebirah is shown in the back of the mook, on the colored paper section, in the "forgotten few", along with Kameba, Daigorah, Daigorah's mother and Goliath. None of these figures have significant enough color variations to support a page, and are very minor characters. Ebirah has three vintage variations (Of which we only had access to one), and two modern marusan reproductions, but kameba has only 2 vintage versions, and there are only 1 each of the Daigorah series.

For the Giant Ape / Giant Gorilla aka Fake King Kong, since it walks that line between real character and bootleg character, etc. We chose to omit it, as it is not licensed by Toho, even though it is clearly trying to be Kong. We wanted to focus on the real Toho characters, and the Giant Ape leads us down the road that eventually becomes the Marusan Originals - another story all together.

Does that help?

I think the figure at the back of the book is Ganime not ebirah.

Maybe it's just one of the insignificant variations? :D

Brian,
Just a slight correction; the correct name of "Daigorah" Is "Daigoro" or ダイゴロウ -- yes, as in the proper Japanese given name, 大五郎 (or kanji variations thereof), which is the same as the name of Itto Ogami's son in LONE WOLF AND CUB manga, television and movie series. Hope this helps!

I'd really love to work as a Super 7's fact checker, Brian -- let's keep the names and transliterations straight -- I do have the creds. 8)

Image good to know that its daigorah . so the middle one is daigorahs mom or did she have an actual name ? the villian is called goliath ( on the end ) or is that wrong ?

From left to right Daigoro, Daigoro's Mother (the character has no proper name), and Goliath -- these are all of the proper transliterations. The first time I saw these, they were selling at Gosha-do in San Francisco's Japantown. The retail price on them in 1973 was $1.95 each.

4 fingers and a thumb on each hand, and 5 toes on each foot? This just seems wrong for kaiju. :?
