This set is awesome! Total FUNK.
I really don't care for "vehicle" sofubi, like the gingaizer ships or iron gear for example, but these just fucking rock. I didn't think it could get funkier than the Popinika diecasts but low and behold..

Looks like a cat with two stove-pipe legs! I don't have the original Popy mid-size Daiku that Unifive reissued. The reissue's good 'nuff for me (though it looks out of place...all shiny and new & shit). I also recently scored the fish-eye lens Gaiking, but I got it mainly for the card art. I'm pretty sure you have that one, Erik. |

Can anyone produce a picture of the original? I've never seen nor heard of a vintage Daiku Maryu vinyl aside from the mini sofubi. |

I believe that there are two different sizes of the Daiku Maryu vinyl. Also, I used to have a comparison pic of the Unifive and Popy releases, but I can't find it now. Maybe its at home. Anyway, here's the smaller Popy one.  And while looking through my pics, I found this one of a green-headed one!
