Look at this one: http://mononofu.hp.infoseek.co.jp/museum/bullmark/rm/rm_st02_01.html The hand-painted details still look sharp, so doesn't seem like it's sun-faded. |

hrrm yea, thanks for the link, that one actually looks more like mine. I felt like the one I picked up was pretty clean. The paint still seemed bright, and there was no kid signature on the back or the feet or anything. I think I paid 18,900 yen at the mandarake in Shibuya, I thought that was a steal! |

Just look at the figure on all sides, usually sun fading is on 50% of the figure only, so all of a sudden you have red on one side, but not the other. You probably have a paint variation instead, as the rest looks correct, and usually fading is not isolated to only one color. (although red is the most vulnerable color.) |
