Sick! Those are great! Did Sid & Marty Kroff put out vinyls of their other shows in the 60s?

Holy crap I love these. Never seen them before! Sid and Marty Krofft gave me the opportunity to get as close as I can to acid without ever doing it!

I saw a new Banana Splits short on cartoon network a few days ago...same characters and stuff, almost thought it was an old one but the jokes had new references...

Wasn't there a weird looking cat character? I think he was kinda gray colored.

Found a photo and it turns out that he's orange. It's the elephant that's gray. It also turns out that his name is Bingo and that he is not a cat, but a gorilla. I always thought he looked like f**cked up cat. :?

I guess I don't remember the show as well as I thought I did. Cool toys, though, Jim. Who is the manufacturer?

I dig how way-off the sculpts are, all using the same body. I can't believe that is supposed to be a gorilla! Thanks for sharing.

These vinyls were supposedly only sold at an amusement park (King's Island, maybe?) in special plastic bags. I've had two of them but getting all is pretty tough, especially complete.

Cool - those are really hard to get. I think I ever had one the whole time I had my toy shop - that was 13 years.

They were made by Dakin I believe. They also are the company that did the Warner Borthers Cartoon figures in the same style. All of these style figures were sold in clip sealed baggies.

Splits were Hanna Barbera - not Kroft. They were made by HB to compete with the popularity of the Kroft shows at the time. I think Boomerang still shows it daily? Early morn. I have caught it a few times.

For the Kroft stuff - There were stuffed animal style figures with rubber faces - UBER tough. I have a friend of mine who collects this stuff hardcore and he has a handful of them and he looks EVERY WHERE for them.

Dr. Tongue, Hanna-Barbera may own the splits but I believe the Krofts had a hand in the live-action characters.

Uph! I retract my previous statement. You are correct. But they are a licensed HB product not Kroft Productions.....

There I go talking out my ass again.

Most of the dakins that I have are dolls, and plush, and not figural characters.

Most of the old sawdust animals and stuff:

Pretty much anything they put out in the 60s & 70s somehow ends up on my want list! :)
