Was digging through some old stuff yesterday when I came across these two photos and just thought I would share them with everyone.
Good times.

It's a scrapped prototype for a new Gizmo design.

A bagged original Jet Jaguar. Jeez.

Vintage photos of vintage toys- love it.

What a great shot - The tin Gigan in particular is making my head melt!

What's that giant Godzilla next to you?

Cool. I take it that's back at Showcase? One of my biggest regrets is not getting into vinyl until after moving from Atlanta. The only time I made it out there, a buddy of mine dragged me and I was more interested in the comics.. Image

i wonder if this is the same store display that jim and lea had ? if thats showcase then then that would be sean who sold it to them after mike j turned it down . met lea and kenny in japan after jim passed away and i think kenny ended up with it . i knew if i kept typing long enough i would answer my own question .

You don't recognize King Seesar? Watch more Godzilla movies.

Thanks for the nice comments, here's a nice pic with a red Marusan Minya in it.
I've had 6 tin Gigans over the years (in both color variations and 3 of them were boxed), yet even today I still get excited when I see one - it's just a fantastic toy.
While we never really got into the Ultra-vinyl (sorry fans), I feel pretty safe in saying that we handled more vintage Godzilla than anyone did.

The second photo was a fantastic find - I ended up getting several MIB Marusan Plamodels from a lady in Cyprus of all places. She had some early posters that she had sold me, and asked me if I was interested in any of the toys - so I sent her one of the buying ads that we used to run in Toy Shop and other mags back in the day. She called me right away and said "oh yes, I have these models you want" and I thought I was going to faint (after getting over my skepticism). I asked her to send a couple first so I could verify and when they arrived I wired her off a bunch of money (well into the five figures) and anxiously awaited for the postman to arrive.
These three were the cream of the bunch, and I'm fortunate they were all ok. The box arrived damaged and my heart sank when I opened the box to discover the damaged corner had crushed a corner of the box on the Baragon Plamodel. Even so, in talks with Yuji and Kizawa (from Gojira-Ya) we figured out this was only the 3rd one they knew of still in a box. Kizawa told me that he had a customer who would pay 2million Yen for the Baragon alone, but I told him this one was staying in the states.

i do not think they are the same. i believe jim got his via a friend in japan after a long search. It is all about cash and patience.

I'm not surprised - I would rate it easily one of the rarest vinyls out of the Godzilla series.
It's one of only four vinyls that I ended up having but a single example of - the other three being the balloon blowing Godzilla, the paint-it-yourself Godzilla and the Bullmark giant Godzilla in the aqua-base color vinyl (that thing is just incredibly rare).
Everything else I was able to track down multiple times.
