REdYOdA wrote: What show is Bakula from? These are "Marusan Originals." The standard size ones have been talked about a lot in other threads, I posted a pic of some finger puppets, but these giant size are just amazing in the way they pay homage/rip-off Ultra kaiju. The Ragon and Icarus similarity has been mentioned and the others are a two-headed Gomora-like beasty and an Earthtron with too many horns. The super giant size (19 inchers) are some of the largest, bulkiest vinyls out there. A vintage "King Gojira" I think is his name has been sitting on YJA for months at 40,000 Yen. A little too steep with the exchange rate right now. |

Thanks for posting this group shot. The Ragon has a great colorway indeed. My favourite from the set. I love its grainy texture. I am not familiar with the other two in the center, what's their name and from which series do they come from ? Congrats on this new addition to your collection vintagevinyl ! |

Man, reading comprehension pretty low on the board these days. ![]() No (media) series...just original Marusan toy designs. Actually, I wasn't aware that these guys even had names...but I guess they must've had something on their header cards! "Bakula", for instance! Previously, I thought only the standard sized ones (y'know, the ones they reimagined in the TEDEROS line) had names. |
